When daylight savings time ends...

I just wished they would leave it one time all year. Like Hawaii and I think Arizona

Me too. I grew up in Arizona and never had to deal with the time change until I moved. I think it's ridiculous. They should pick either forward or backwards and stick with it. I prefer to fall back and don't like springing forward an hour.

I prefer Daylight Saving Time. It's always light before I get up regardless, and we enjoy evening hours outside.

Indiana used to not change the clocks, but the idiot then-Governor Daniels decided we needed it. Then the powers that be decided we needed to be on Eastern time rather than Central, even though we are a lot closer to Chicago and the middle of the country than we are to New York and Washington, DC.
Ahhh....a fellow Hoosier. I agree completely! And, as a Purdue Boilermaker...Mitch is still on my radar..grrrrr.

I'm a nightowl and I don't really get up super early, so I like it when it gets dark later. I do wish they would just pick one and stay there, the time changes always throw me off for weeks. Hate it. Especially this one. The dog knows when it's dinner time, and man he wants to eat right at 5pm, and he will now break chops for an hour, because it will actually only be 4pm, but he doesn't know that. Lol. At least I will gain an hour of sleep, and the dog will probably like that part, too.

We've just gone into DST and we love it. I do complain when it switches back.

I prefer the daylight in the evening. as soon as it gets dark at 5 p.m. I am ready for bed. Not good when there are evening activities and dinner to make. I too wish they'd split the difference by half and hour and leave the time alone.

It is the most miserable time of the year. I have to live the next 6 months in darkness. PLEASE tell me WHY this needs to continue?????

Remind me not to move to Indiana! :) Since you are on the far west end of the zone, that means everyone else in the zone (other than the people who go to work at 3 AM etc.) gets more sunlight than you do to help wake up. Sounds like having DST all year long and double DST in the summer. Ugh to the max!

I'm still mad at Pres. Bush for deciding we all (in the U.S.) needed that extra 2 months with more light in the evenings to keep me from going to sleep on time.

I hate whichever one is coming up (I always get confused which is daylight and which is standard - so next weekend it will be standard time?). I hate getting out of work and having it be completely dark outside already. Makes it feel like I don't have any time left in the day to do things. Bonus is that it means it's Christmas time.

Either way, for me the limited sunshine in the winter SUCKS!!!!

I have lived in two timezones.

Folks who live towards the Western edge of the timezones really have a hard time when it doesn't get light until almost 8:00a.m. Kids heading out to bus-stop in the pre-dawn.
Folks who live towards the Eastern edge of the timezones have a really hard time when the time changes and it gets dark by 4:45 in the afternoon.

By December, it'll be dark when I get to work, and dark when I leave for home. If we stayed on DST, it would always be light for the trip home st least.

I will like the sun being up when I get up. I hate having to get up when it is dark outside still.

In a perfect world it would be day light from 6am - 8pm year round. And it would only rain between 8pm - 6am

Daylight Saving (not savINGS) Time is ending.

The number of hours of daylight is rough here in Seattle since we are father north than any other major metropolitan area in the US. The sun sets here at 4:18p in late November and early December. It doesn't rise until almost 8:00a in late December/early January. Ouch.

I want sun to come up as soon as I get done peeing, and I want the sun to go down as soon as I get in shower

When I worked I really hated that, going to work in the dark and getting home in the dark, especially because for many years I worked in places where I was without windows all day. Freaking depressing.

I still haven't forgiven Mitch Daniels for that one. Every time I have to shake my fists and ask why did you do this.

do you complain? I think I'm the only person I know who hates daylight savings time. It seems that everyone wants that extra hour of sunlight in the evenings, but I'd much rather have the sun when I get up in the morning. I HATE getting up when it's pitch black, and I'm looking forward to next Sunday when the sun will once again be up when I leave for work. How about you?

I love having the sun in the evenings but I hate the whole daylight savings thing. I wish NZ just had one time all year around.
Studies have found no savings being made by changing the time and I personally don't think it's great for us to mess with our body clocks twice every year for no reason, plus as a parent of young kids it's bloody stressful.
