My brother and I are taking our mom to DL as a birthday/ Christmas present and want to book fantasmic dinner and woc dinner reservations. What is the timeline for that? I can't tell for he DL site and I am used to WDW and their 180 days in advance schedule.
Also, which restaraunt would you suggest for both? I am leaning towards Carthay for woc because of allergies and non four legged meat options.
I am not entirely sure f the options for Fantasmic other than BB.
Thanks!

Reservations are 60 days in advance for DLR. Our favorites are definitely Carthay Circle and Blue Bayou for the dining packages. We've had great experiences doing both. You can look on the website for other options, I know there's River Belle Terrace for F! as well but we've never eaten there.

As calilou said, DLR dining reservations open 60-days in advance. Just note that dining packages (like WoC and F!) aren't always loaded right when the system rolls. So, if you're online at the 60-day mark and it shows as being unavailable, it probably means they haven't loaded the times into the system yet (opposed to being fully booked). You mentioned being used to WDW, so it's worth noting that reservations aren't as hard to get at DLR. You can often get fairly prime dining reservations closer to the date, so it's not necessary to be online right when the system rolls (which happens somewhere between midnight and 6:00 am Pacific). Also DLR doesn't have anything like the "+10" (which WDW has), so you'll have to make reservations one day at a time at the 60-day mark.

Does anyone have a recommendation for how long before the show starts dinner reservations should be made? Is 2 hours sufficient?

I would say the average DLR TS meal takes between 60 and 90 minutes, depending on how busy the restaurant is, how fast you eat, etc. Given that, I would probably aim to make the reservation no later than 3 hours before the start of the show. That gives you time to eat without having to worry about the clock and then time to get to the viewing area. It sounds like all of the F! dining package viewing is great (ground seating), but you still want to get there early for the WoC viewing because it's standing only, so if you're short, you don't want to end up behind a bunch of tall guests.

Thank you for your help!

One more question, how far in advance does DL release the schedule for parades, Fantasmic, WOC, etc? We are going December 4-10, I know it will probably be CLP, but will fantasmic go on as well?

The operating hours are relased about 6 weeks/45-days in advance and the entertainment schedule is often not aded until about 30-days out.

Also DLR doesn't have anything like the "+10" (which WDW has), so you'll have to make reservations one day at a time at the 60-day mark.
Thanks for posting that. I am planning my first trip to DLR the last weekend in September, and will be able to start making ADRs in about 12 days. I was wondering if you could do them all at once, or had to do them for each day.

One thing I am planning on doing is park hopping when booking the Fantasmic/World of Color dining packages. I'm not staying onsite, and do not have Magic Morning hours with my park ticket. So I am starting in the park that does not have MM hours so I can do rope drop - but then that same park either closes early (DCA) or has Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. So I'm leaving to do the dining package in the other park.
