When can I borrow 09 points?

Just wondering when I can access my 09 points.

Is it Jan 1 2008?...I have an april use yr if that matters.

You can't borrow points until you are actually making a reservation.

You can borrow your 2009 points for a reservation/stay that will occur between 4/1/2008 and 3/31/2009.

I have the same question. If you banked '07 points, want to go in 'June '08 so you already have access to two years worth of points, but need 9 points to round out your vacation, will they allow you to borrow those nine from -09? This is with an April UY.

Yes, you understand correctly. October 2007 is 11 months prior to a September 2008 vacation. September 2008 falls within your 2008 use year (4/1/2008 through 3/31/2009).

For vacations that fall within your 2008 use year, you could use:

* Banked points from your 2007 use year (if you banked any),
* Points from your 2008 use year (which would be considered current use year points for reservations within that time frame) and
* Points borrowed from your 2009 use year.

Assume you know that if you cancel the 9/08 reservation, the borrowed points would remain in your 2008 use year. You cannot return them to the 2009 use year. If the borrowed points are not used prior to 3/31/2009, they would expire and be lost to you.

Yes, with an April use year, you would be allowed to borrow the 2009 points for your June 2008 vacation.

All points usage is based on dates of stay. You look at the use year your dates of stay fall into. You can then used banked points from the use year before or borrow points from the following use year. It has nothing to do with the date you make the reservation, it's dates of stay only.
