When can I book?

We are planning our DW vacation for the end of January/begin. of February 2014. I think I'm adding the days up correctly but I keep getting an error saying I can only book up to 499 days out. When will I be able to book the package? Are there generally any good promos going on that time of year that I should check back for regularly?

Also, I know the deposit is usually $200 to book. After that, is the balance just divided by the number of months left til it's paid by the 45 days prior to arrival?

You won't be able to book a package for 2014 until the 2014 rates come out. They usually come out in July or August.


Once you make your deposit, you can make payments anytime you want as long as you're paid in full at 45 days out.

Thanks for that info. Guess I will just keep an eye out for specials with free DDP or room discounts after July or August when the rates come out.

Booking 499 days out is for room only reservations and in order to book that far ahead, you have to call as you can't make room reservations (or book packages) online until the new rates come out. As the pp said, once you book a package and make the deposit, you can make as many payments as you want or wait until your 45 day mark and pay it off at that time (just as long as the balance due is paid no later than 45 days prior to arrival).

Ohhhhhh thank you!! I didn't even think about calling lol! With the internet, I forget I even have a phone haha!

At least I can get the room reservation taken care of this next week and go from there for adding tix, DDP, watching for discounts, etc.

We do the same thing, Robin Rocks, just get the r/o res done and work from there..

Just know if you make a R/O reservation then want to change it to a pkg later you have to rebook as a pkg with a new deposit and they will then cancel and refund your R/O reservation. If you are set on where you want to stay and have no 2nd choice it's good to make a room only so you are guaranteed that resort but discounts for that time period won't be out before next summer/fall

Thank you again for the help! We are pretty well set on staying at AoA in a Little Mermaid room so booking it ahead of time will be just fine, unless I win the lottery! Then we'll be staying at the Grand Floridian or Contemporary haha!
