When can I book

Ok, sorry I don't mean to ask dumb questions. We bought DVC 2 weeks ago. When can I book our first vacation? We have our bonus points that were included and we banked them on the 31st. We don't get our other points until March 11. We usually take a trip in October... so I am at 11 months to book at home resort.. but am I allowed to book before the actual recording is done that Disney does without you?

if your first trip is for oct 15, 2011, you can call as early as nov 15, 2010 to book your home resort.

typically it takes a couple of weeks after closing when you buy a resale contract. if you have a member number and can call MS, then you are ready to go.

thank you! Its actually not a resale... its direct through Disney... Just wasn't sure if they had to have a specific period of time before I could do anything! Thank u!!

if you bought direct, you should be able to book right away. (depending on when your 11 month window opens.)
