When calling WDTC why are the prompts different...

depending on the date of your last visit? You know how the phone system says "If you have visted WDW more than once since 1998 press 1."
Why does it do that? Seems like pressing 1 would connect you to a senior CM or something, but it doesn't. So I'm wondering if there's a purpose for the different prompts. :confused3
 
1) There are very specific reasons for the prompts.
2) They do direct the call to different people.

This is just a guess on my part but, if they know you have visited many times recently, you may be handed off to a CM that has less experience. The thinking being that you already have a good idea of what you want and wont have many questions also, they may have different screens that they pull up that has info on the newer attractions for those that have not visited recently. It would be nice though to think that you are being rewarded in some way for being a frequent guest.

Like I said, just a guess!
