If AP Rates come out, and you have an existing ressie, would you follow the phone prompt for "if you wish to make changes to an existing res." or " if you would like to make a new res." ? Just don't want to sit on hold forever if they come out and then get put back on hold to be switched to someone else.

I asked this question of the CRO last week.

The CRO told me to make the new reesie first (we are hoping for a hotel upgrade) then cancel or transfer the existing one.

I do not want to get into the situation where lose one reesie and then can't get what we want.

If and when an AP rate or code comes out, I use the prompt for an existing reservation, ask if the rate/code is available and if it is I ask to apply it to my current reservation and I've never had a problem.
