When being a pack rat becomes a problem....

I was going through my list of cards that dh has given me ( yes I keep them all lol) I noticed that one looked really familiar so I went through the pile that I was adding to the card file and found the card that dh had gotten me this year for the Mothers day, the EXACT same one he got me last year!

We had a good chuckle about it but OMGOSH ROFL!!!

He said " See??? I REALLY meant it!!"

My mother had a similar experience, only she found the card she had given my father on Valentine's Day or their anniversary ( I forget which it was) the next year, in a drawer. She just gave it to him again to see if he noticed anything....like he would!?!? He didn't, so she gave it to him for the next 17 years, she kept track.

Finally, one year she told him what she had been doing! He said, "I thought it looked familiar." It was probably getting yellow with age.

Binny, at least you got a new card and not a recycled one!

My MIL and I exhanged the same Christmas card several years running. I would sent it to her one year and she would return it the next. It was fun but then one of us lost it. Oops.
