When are Magic Bands sent out?

I arrive at WDW 9/30 and was wondering when I should expect the bands. Getting really excited now!

We arrive 9/26 and ours were mailed a couple of days ago

so they should be on their way.
look on MDE to see if they have shipped.

What does MDE show for a customize by date? Once that has past, the MagicBands will be processed and mailed.

Oh our Magic Bands that arrived today did have the DVC sliders with them

MDE shows last day to customize for our Oct. 4 reservations, so OP, yours should be done and either shipped or ready to go.
I got an email and a notification in MDE

Hi, would you mind telling me did the bands ship before the customize by date, or do you think it was on that date? Our customize by date is 9/10, we close on a new house on 9/11, and I'm not sure if I should go ahead and change to the new address now or not. I'm afraid they'll get lost if they beat us to the house. Stressing me out!!

They should not mail out until after the customize date has past. Occasionally some do ship out before that, but the majority don't ship until after.

They mailed a couple of days after the cut off date. That is when they do the customizing and packaging.

I guess I didn't pay enough attention to the MB process as I did the FP+ process.

But I do know I customized my band and my friends band over a month ago. I linked tickets and added her to the reservation. When I checked MDE last night I saw that there was a "resort" band that they were waiting for "me" to release for shipping. I had no idea about that band. Does this mean I'll have two bands?????

But no where can I see exactly "what" is being shipped when I use my tablet. I'm going to check again in a few using the desktop. You always seem to get more info from the actual computer than mobile devices I think.

If I'm still confused I'll call MS and see what's going on.

The MDE mobile apps will only show you MagicBands that have already been processed and mailed out (also shows retail MagicBands purchased and linked to your profile). If there is a Customize link in the app, it will take you to the MDE website to complete the process.

Thanks! I seem to remember last fall we got them way ahead of time but hopefully they've ironed that out.

Went on the site today using my desk top and can see that the bands are being processed. This is the message I saw:

"Your MagicBand order is being personalized. Check back soon for shipping details."

I assumed that since all the personalization stuff had been done a long time ago, they would have been shipped out by now.

How are they shipped? US Mail, FedEx, UPS??

Mine for this past May were sent out USPS.

We received 3 mailings in the last couple of weeks and they all came USPS.
