When are Halloween Horror Nights?

I had hoped to finally go to Universal this October following a Disney cruise, but now I am worried it will be an HHN and I'll get kicked out early. Tickets are way too expensive for just two days so if HHN is on October 15th we'll have to skip Universal.

Any idea if HHN will be on October 15th?? We had hoped to hit Universal right after getting off the ship on Saturday, the 15th, and then the next morning and afternoon before our evening flight home. Help!

HHN is every Thursday through Sunday of October. It begins the end of September and there's usually a Wednesday night or two during Hell Week. HHN will be staged on 10/15 so the Studios will close at 5pm that night. IOA was open last year until 7pm or 8pm during those nights.

Thank you so much. I also read that some rides and attractions are shut down because they create haunted houses and such. So it's also possible not all rides and attractions would be available, even during the non party hours??

The houses don't impact any of the rides/attractions themselves, but you may encounter ride/attraction queues that are not available during Horror Nights as they are used for a particular house. The only time rides/attractions would be shut down would be for refurbs.

HHN draws homies for the street shows, houses, shows, and scare zones rather than the rides.

rides are open for the most part but it's not the featured thing to do on a HHN night.

in the daytime, up to 5:00 when the studios closes, rides are open.

Fear Factor won't be open as it's set is used for Hhn related.

october 15 is a saturday.
saturdays are always busy and crowded.
you could do the studios side up until 3ish easily.
crowds tend to begin around 3.
ioa side you could hit if you have a 2 park ticket.
they will stay open later than the studios.

would you be able to do the parks on sunday before you leave for the airport?

why not do the parks early on that sunday and have less crowds to deal with.

In the past there have been attractions closed for HHN (Discovery Center for HHN 15, Triceratops Trail for 13, Thunder Falls Terrace and Poseidons Fury for 15) but those have been for houses when they held the event at IOA. My guess is with Potter they will not have the event there again...though I am hearing rumors of a special kids after hours event....
