When are August Hours Released

So the thread title says it all. I'm going with just one of my kids for a quick 3 day trip to Universal in late August. Arriving Monday morning and leaving Wednesday night. Would really love later hours so we can pace ourselves a little better in the intense heat and take an afternoon break. Plus I'd imagine that the parks need to be open after nightfall to see the new Hogwarts light show and the new Studios show. Hoping that they'll at least have hours until 8:00 but not really expecting it.

The app is up to August 13th at the minute. Also be aware of any special events. Think there’s a HHN preview at the end of August.

Hours for August were released. Kind of disappointing seeing IOA open only to 7 the three days we’re there and Studios open to 7 on Monday and Wednesday but only to 6:00 on Tuesday. I guess they’re not going to run any of their new night shows those nights. Any way I’m wrong about that?

My app hasn’t updated yet ~ still says hours unavailable showing only up to 16th. I’m in UK whether that makes a difference?
I would just keep checking back, what are your dates? I don’t go Universal until September, in between HHNs

what are you looking at for hours? The app is only showing through Aug 16, the rest of August says unavailable


Edited to add: I did just look online at the Universal website, and that last week of August does show, and has different hours.
IoA only open until 7 every night, and Universal, M/W 7, and T is 6,
Some times there are differences between the app and website, and I found the app to be more accurate/up to date.

Premium Scream night is Aug 29, not sure if there is any other media preview night or anything for HHN, so not sure if it's typical for Studios to close early like that the week before HHN begins.
But if that's the case, surprised IoA is closing that early, when it's still summer/just before Labor Day. I have been a time or two when a corporate event caused IoA to close early.

I have been in late August and it is usually pretty slow and the parks do close early. The email I recently got from Universal said the Hogwarts light show and Universal Studios nighttime shows were running 'select nights' through Aug 25.

Yeah, that’s disappointing as we’re arriving on the 26th. Hopefully the crowds are in fact reasonable and the weather is not terrible as opposed to horrific.

The app is now updated through 8/28 and it matches what the website had previously. 7:00 closings at both parks for each of 8/26-8/28 except for a 6:00 closing on 8/27 and Universal Studios. Not sure why they're closing early on 27th but I guess this means no night shows at all. Does the US movie night show require darkness? Just wondering if maybe they'll offer that one.

Are the passholder nights US only - and IOA will be open to the GP to 9pm/10pm those nights?
