When a discount is announced vs when you can book it?

I've been searching and googling and I can't find the answer to this.

I see that a deal (either RO or S/P/D) should be coming for my dates on Octoboer 8th. Obviously, I want to be up early on 10/8 to call into the CRO to get the discount in the best possible circumstances for my trip.

Will the details of the deal be released before the morning of 10/8. If so, when? Does anyone know?

Do most people just call in on the expected day and hope for the best?

Also, must this be done by calling CRO or can you make the changes on-line yourself? I have a room and tickets package booked, but S/P/D would save us a nice chunk of cash.

TIA!

The details will not be released before you can book it unless it comes out for Disney visa first.

When reservations opens up on that day and the first person gets thru and posts the details will be up. This last time they put the discount up online first at midnight. That has not happened in a long time. If that happens when the offer goes up online you can book it then.

If you have a Disney visa, you may want to check at 7am tomorrow morning.

The only details is the leaked information.

Two discounts will release on the 8th, as a couple others have stated. One will be the stay play and dine. If you book a room, then you get tickets and dining plan at a child's price. A minimum 3 night stay is required, with a max of 14. Also, a one day ticket minimum is required as well.

The second discount is the room only discount, which is self explanatory. The percentage will depend on the resort and room type.

Like I said earlier, if a Disney visa release happens, it's likely to happen in the morning. This can only be booked by phone, where the public release will also be available online. As stated above, the online time may vary, but the phones open at 7am.

Best of luck to you!!!

Just to clarify, if you already have a reservation booked, you must call to have the discount applied to your existing reservation. You cannot do that online. You can book brand new reservations online with the discount.

Thank you all! That was just the information I needed. The Disney Visa deals are the same as the general public, right? Just a few days earlier?
