OK, if I don't want to (read DH) stay on property and coming from LAX but spending 1 day near San Diego w/ my bro and his famiily where would be a great suggestion (or 20 LOL) to stay during 3 days in early October?

Please help Wheelsie...She's in over her head LOL :):rotfl: :cheer2: :dance3: :hourglass

Start by checkin whats available........they are booking up fast, maybe if you can narrow it down to a few choices we can help with our experiences. I am going to stay at Desert Palms, wish it was on site but they were all booked up allready!

thanks for the reponses...keep 'em coming...

I'll look into these...

Ya know as many of the "old folks" around here will tell you I've been to wdw oodles of times...but DL is a new frontier for me...

we aren't quite sure what to go w/.... DH tried a couple of places crown plaza I think..and they were just expensive or not accessible... never a happy mediuim LOL

thanks again

Highly recommend the Ramada Plaza for cheap hotel (not motel) within walking distance

thanks... I'll loook into that as well..

I will tell you we will have a rental car...so walking distance will not be an issue...

I walk nowhere LOL...thats what Ford invented the Electric Horse Carriage for LOL

thanks again I really appreciate it.

Just giving this one more bump to see if anyone has any more hotel suggestions..thanks! :)

It's just easier than using the parking garage. First of all, the parking garage doesn't open until half an hour before park opening which doesn't give you much (if any) time to get into the lot, find a space, park, and run (or take a tram) over to DL before park opening.

Second, it costs 10 (correct me if I'm wrong) dollars a day to park. I strongly don't recommend driving to and from the parks. Walking is so much more convenient even if it may be a little (though not much) more tiring.

Hey Wheelsie! Nice to see you in our corner of the world. :)

I recommend that you look at the following - they are less than 5 minutes to the front of the parks - walking distance:
* Carousel Inn
* Tropicana Inn
* Best Western Park Place Inn (closest to the parks)
* Camelot Inn

If you want to drive & want to stay in a hotel
* Marriott
* Hilton
* Candy Cane (though they have a free shuttle)
* Sheraton Anaheim (extra $ for parking, but I like it)

thanks MaryJo I knew you'd come to my rescue :)

you know w/ the chair I don't do shuttles...I'd rather pay the 10 spot to park..besides since I have my own wheels (hense the name LOL) "running" to the gate (which I woudn't do anyhow) not a problem. :)
