This is really weird, honestly.
Discovery Cove, I remember specifically, offered special 'beach wheelchairs' with oversized tires for the sand. I'm pretty surprised that they don't offer them at Aquatica too.
When I was at Aquatica over the weekend, I did see one lady in a wheelchair--just a normal wheelchair. But it got me thinking... how does Aquatica get away with having such an inaccessible park? There are lots of stairs and no ramps on all the slides.. and the Roa's Rapids (fast 'lazy' river) would /definitely/ be difficult to get out of, I agree.
Then it got me thinking further... are ALL waterparks this wheelchair unfriendly? It's been several years since I went to Wet n' Wild, but I don't recall there being ramps at those slides either.
Hmm.
