Is there more than one place to see Illuminations from the special wheelchair sections?

Last year we were near Canada, I think. I was just wondering if there are other places also? :confused3

There are a few special sections set aside around the world showcase. I think there are one on each side of the shop that is on the side of the lake closest to furture world. I also believe there is one over near Germany and the one between Canada and the UK.

But because of how crowded these areas get I tend to just find a spot up against the fence and get there about an hour early. You get just as good a view and it's more relaxing for me. Plus I always resent the sectioning off of wheelchairs users into what I call a "wheelchair getto". Personally I'm happier with grabbing a spot at a fence like everyone else.

I agree with Bill.
We don't use the wheelchair seating for Illuminations because you have to get there much earlier than if you just find a spot. It is usually quite busy and they park the wheelchairs nearly touching each other along the fence.
Even if you don't get there an hour early, you can still find good spots. Before it gets dark, look for the barges that are parked in the lake in the middle of World Showcase. If you have a clear view of the barges, you should have a good view of the whole show.

The wheelchair viewing areas are marked on the park maps. If you look as you go around WS during the day, you will see the areas. They have some permanent chained areas marking them off and there are signs that indicate that the spots are for handicapped access.

Thank you both for your answers.

We had a horrid experience this last May when we saw Illuminations. My parent who is in the wheelchair was not with us Thank GOD. I just want to find a safe and enjoyable spot for her to enjoy the show without any hassel! :thumbsup2
