Wheelchair transfer tips for Spaceship Earth??

This week was our first time riding Spaceship Earth since the remodel. DD had a terrible time trying to transfer due to the opening in the cars being narrow. When she was younger I could lift her under the arms and then have her feet support some of her weight for a pivot transfer, but she's bigger now (and I'm older!) so she mostly transfers herself. Anyway, she pulled up, then tried to wiggle her way onto the seat with me helping, but it was tough. Have any wheelchair users had a better time? I'm wondering if there was trick we just weren't thinking of.

Thanks,
Mary

I'm sorry that yall had a hard time, I thought that with the remodel it would have been better

They do have a new car ( new since about 6 months after the remodel was completed) which has a wider opening door. When you are checking in at the waiting area, tell the CM that you need the transfer car with the wider door.

I have pictures and will try to post tomorrow.

Yep that!!!! The CMs haven't seemed to figure out that they need to offer that car to wheelchair users who transfer. The wider opening makes a huge difference.
