Wheelchair rental

Ten days until we leave for WDW and my daughter has had foot surgery. I know we can rent a wheel chair in the parks but is there a place that would deliver one to POP that we would have to use all week? I don't think she will be able to use her crutches at the resort with all the walking to and from the buses. Thanks.

It is possible to borrow a wheelchair from your resort. They take a $250 (?) card imprint which is fully refunded when you take the chair back. I know some people have had problems with this service though (chairs not being available / the right type), so you might want to consider renting from an external company. Yes, the disABILITIES FAQs thread has some places that DIS posters have rented from and recommend.
I don't know how old your DD is, but the wheelchairs from the parks and the hotels are primarily adult ones.

I have several fractures in my foot and am currently in a cast, and will be for several months. I was given crutches initially. After a week and realizing I would not be able to go to stores, etc in crutches, I called my doctor. They were able, with my insurance paying, to order a wheelchair for me to rent. They called the rental company and it was delivered that afternoon. And the company takes care of the paperwork and deals with your insurance company. This has been a lifesaver for me, as my foot has to be constantly elevated and I can use the little attachment that raises my foot up. So call your doctor's office; as long as he/she approves it, your insurance company should pay for it.

You can rent either a wheelchair or scooter delivered to your hotel from several places. Walker mobility and scootaround are two that I have used for scooters.

Our family just used Care Medical for a chair for our DD9. Their contact info is in the sticky thread posted above. The charge for an 8 day rental was $60and the service was great. The chair was at bell services when we arrived and we left it with bell services at check out. Nothing could have been simpler. I plan on using them again for our future trips.

If your daughter needs to keep her foot elevated.
You may want to get an adjustable leg. Where the leg elavates.

I've rented wheel chairs from walker mobility. This was several years ago, and at that time it was a flat $10 fee for the adjustable leg. You have to tell them which leg, right or left, and its a flat fee on top of the daily or weekly charge.

The fee could be higher now, since I rent an ecv now a days.

If your daughter is under 18, your only option will probably be a wheelchair. The WDW parks and most of the off-site rental places will not rent an ECV for use by someone under the age of 18.
