Wheelchair rental, which would you recommend?

Hello,

I am taking my Grandmother to WDW March 23-30. We'll be staying at All Star Sports. I recently found out that we will have to rent a wheelchair and have it delivered to the resort, and I was hoping for some recommendations & tips on how to go about this, as I have never done this before.

I called WDW and they recommended Walker Mobility, and a company called Apria. Has anyone use these two companies, which might be better and easier to deal with? Thanks for your time.

As an aside, I just got off the phone with walker mobility, they charge $30.00 the first day, and $6.00 each day after, with free delivery and pickup, so it would be $72.00 + tax which seems to be the best.

Apria apparently only rents to Apria healthcare customers so I'm not sure why I was given that number.

Care Medical Equipment is $25.00 the first day, and $10.00 a day after that, so that would be $95.00, so clearly Walker Mobility is the better offer. I just wanted to update the post so if anyone else had this question I could help out with pricing.

Any reviews about Walker Mobility?

Post #2 discusses rentals of wheelchairs and ECVs, along with listing companies that people have reported using with no problems.

All of the companies listed on the disABILITIES FAQs thread are ones that DIS posters use and recommend frequently. You should have a good experience with any of them.
