I just had a surgery today to remove part of my female parts because they were going to burst from a complication from a prior proceedure (sorry tmi). My doc told me that it will be almost 2months till I feel really great and be able to walk long periods, run, etc. We go on vacation in like 19days. I have a 14 day post op the thursday b4 we leave. Should I request a paper from her (or will I need to) to get a motorized scooter should I need it? This is my 2nd surgery 3rd proceedure in about 3months in my abdomen (which is why its going to take so long to heal). I dont want to dissapoint my kids and have them miss Disney because of me esp after planning this for a while and we have non refundable air fare. I would go for a regular one, but my husband will have to push the stroller if I ride, so he cant push me. Any help advice or such is greatly appreciated.

No, you will not need anything to rent a motorized scooter (also called an ECV). I think you are wise to consider renting one. Most people don't really realize the distances involved in a trip to WDW - without an ECV, the average person will be walking between 3 and 9 miles per day!

If you click on the link in my signature to the disABILITIES FAQs thread, you will find information about renting ECVs in post #2 of that thread.
