Wheelchair at DLP

I know you can rent a wheelchair at DLP and take it out of the park to use in the hotel and downtown areas, but does anyone know if you are allowed to take tme into Paris itself?

And if so, how easy would it be to get the RER train from Marne le Vallee to the eiffel tower in a wheelchair, are the stations disabled friendly?

I don't know about bringing a DLP owned wheelchair into Paris, but to me that seems like Paris is too far away for them to allow it. At that point it would be too easy for someone to never bring the wheelchair back.

You'd need to transfer from the RER to the Paris Metro to even get to the Eiffel Tower and I don't think the Metro line that goes closest is accessible. There may be a way to do it by bus as some of the bus lines are accessible (more buses than metro lines/stops, for sure). http://en.parisinfo.com/how-to-get-...transport-and-disability-getting-around-paris looks like it has a decent amount of info on what is/isn't accessible for public transport. It may also have a way for you to contact someone about finding a way to get from DLP to the Eiffel Tower.

One note about using a wheelchair and the Eiffel Tower. Wheelchair users are not allowed up to the absolute top deck. The highest wheelchair users can go is the second deck. There's still a decent view, but, from what I've been told, it's not as amazing as the top (as a wheelchair user, I've never been up to the top). My understanding is that they're worried about evacuation if something were to happen to the elevator. I enjoyed going up even though it was only the second deck, but I'm not sure if I'd have found it worth the trip from DLP (especially with the hassle it seems to take, even for non-disabled folks).

I cannot believe that you would be allowed to take a DLP wheelchair to Paris; it's quite a distance.

Please be warned that Paris and France in general are not wheelchair friendly at all; neither are most of the metro stations.

thanks for the replies, i did figure Disney wouldnt let you tke one of their chairs off-site, but just wondered given the deposit you have to leave.

I do see that Disney do a Paris tour, but its a LONG tour, and i do suffer from fatigue, hence why i was asking about wheelchairs, cause the only thing we really want to see is the Eiffel Tower. though that was really just a bonus thing, the main thing is spending 4 nights in Disney for our honeymoon

I was just coming in to also say that the RER and Metro in Paris is not wheelchair friendly at all. If you do want to get off at a station you are asked to arrange in advance for ramp service.

Also, you are not allowed to take the chairs out of the parks.

On top of this marne la vallee station is not disabled friendly they are working on it at the moment to make it so You could do a paris tour though which leaves from the hotel new York but I doubt they would allow you to take the wheelchair
