I was curious, can you take a wheelchair through the new Winnie the Pooh queue? I would really like for my family to experience the new queue, it looks amazing, but I am unsure if it is wheelchair accessible. Thanks for any info!

Melissa

Yes, I am pretty sure that the new queue is accessible. There is also a wheelchair accessible car for the ride.

Thanks for letting me know! We are looking forward to seeing the new queue!!

Yes! And most things are at height where wheelchair users can reach them as well. The queue has a slight incline at places, but DD thought it was fine.

Here's a pic of one of the new sections:

And here's DD at the computerized "honey wall."

Just be aware that you bypass all the interactive features if you use the fastpass line.

Will you (or your party) be transferring into a regular ride car or do you need the accessible honey pot?

Agree with what Mary posted.
Since the queue is wheelchair accessible and a lot of children come to see Winnie the Pooh, elements that are low enough for children to reach are also the right height for guests using wheelchairs. I thought they did a good job of making the interactive elements accessible to guests of different heights. I saw some very tall adults using the ‘honey wall’ along with the children.

From the Fastpass line, you can see many of the interactive features, but can’t use them, as Mary mentioned.

When you get to the boarding area, the CM will ask whether or not you can transfer and walk onto a honey pot. If you need the wheelchair accessible one, your party will be pulled to the side, out of the way, to wait for the accessible honey pot.
Here’s a picture of a non-accessible honey pot:

And a picture of the wheelchair accessible honey pot. There are 2 seats and the CM is folding one up to make space for a wheelchair. The other seat can stay down to make room for a companion to sit:

I just have to throw this pic up here!

I was just going through our Spring Break pics and had just come across this one about 5 min before I read this thread...

Lauren LOVED this ride!!

And they turned the bouncing OFF for her (I didn't know they could do that!) :)

Thanks everyone for the pictures and info on the queue. Thankfully, Alex is still able to transfer from his wheelchair to the rides. We will definitely go through the queue at least once before using fastpass! I have always liked this little ride and look forward to experiencing the new additions!! Again, Thanks!!

Anyone know if two narrow chair can fit in the accessable honey pot at one time?

I seriously doubt it. In general, they will only allow one wheelchair user on a time for safety reasons - evacuating two people who cannot walk out on their own is too high a safety risk for them.

two can't fit...

At least Lauren and her friend couldn't...and Lauren's is pretty narrow and her friend's is narrow, too (her friend was in a manual chair)...but it was only one at a time.

They fit together on Jungle Cruise (because we transferred Jessica) and they would have both fit on Small World...

Cool, we still have park days left and we got no expri so we will space out the days.

The kids are used to parking tight next to each other in our shuttle van
