Whats's in your DVC Locker?

Thank you for this tip! We bought one like yours, and it was perfect to set up for our family trip last week! We left ours standing in the room, hoping someone can take it rather than trash it.
I really need to clean out our owner’s locker! I’m not sure which is more useless - the set of plastic dishes I got to use for studio stays (we don’t do too many studio stays these days) or the 4-5 popcorn buckets that I can’t bear to throw away. The Christmas tree has become a reason/excuse to plan a Christmas trip, haha. 2021 may be our 3rd year in a row coming over Xmas break.

It's been a few days since I read this thread so I don't remember if this was mentioned, but somewhere else I just saw someone suggest extra bedding and for the first time I'm tempted. I freeze under the two sheets we get and a nice fluffy blanket would be life changing. Most other things I can deal with or just bring myself but knowing there's a good pillow and blanket waiting for me would be nice.

One thing I noticed this last time - we forgot to replace the nightlight we usually put in the bathroom. It pooped out on our last trip and so most recently it was hard to get the right low-level light for those middle of the night trips.

Hi everyone, I am planning to sign up for owners locker. We will be flying in for our May trip but my sister is driving in Feb. I wanted to give her my stuff so its less I have to pack when flying for her to put into the locker for me. Is it possible for me to do that? Or am I the only one who can access the locker? I hope that makes sense. Thanks in advance. :)

You will tell Owners Locker what resort to deliver it to and what date. You’ll also tell them what name the resort reservation is in. It will be delivered to Bell Services with that name on it. So if your sister’s name is on the room, she should be able to have Bell Services deliver it, and she can then open it and put the items in it.

Bump! Who is filling or visiting their locker for the first time this year? :) I filled mine but have yet to visit again. Anything interesting you put in there?

i just ordered for the first time and will fill in June. I am happy to not have to bring some things anymore and be able to do carry on most of my trips!!

The current deal made is so worth it for the first year!!

The lists here are so great because some things I hadn’t even though of!!

I was planning on joining this year as well. What is the current deal going on? I didn't see anything on the website.....it's early though, maybe I'm nuts

SO.MUCH.STUFF :)

Toiletries, clothes, sandals, etc (enough that we can all travel with just a backpack)
Full set of dishes, including silverware
Cooking utensils and a mini griddle
Stainless steel water bottles and coffee tumblers
refillable popcorn bucket
non-perishable food (peanut butter, oatmeal, condiments, spices, etc)
Ponchos and umbrellas
backpack
First Aid stuff, including medicines
Laundry bag and detergent
Trading pins and lanyard
extra magic bands

We go enough that it is absolutely worth it for us :) I love that stupid box so much that I cried when I finally saw it again in late august. My son and husband found that hilarious LOL
You just brought such joy to me, reading your post. I would be the same way I'm sure if I had a box. We only go once a year, so I'm not sure it's worth it for us.... I wish it was. Thank you for the smile.

It is 6 months free and then you pay the regular plan for the next 6 but you get unlimited delivers for the first year!!

I can’t remember how I found it. But I may have just googled DVC owners locker and it brought up the link that led to the DVC site

If you get free luggage on your flights (ie. Jetblue Mosaic Benefits) then I would say that it wouldn't be worth it.

OK... after reading all these posts and with the current deal offered. I just signed up. We come from Canada... and it costs us $50 round trip for each suitcase. My hubby and I are going to leave clothes and toiletries, as well as some little gadgets, ears etc. that we only use on our Disney trips. That way we can just travel with a free carry on. It will save us money the first year, and we can assess whether it's worth it after that. I like the idea of not having to cart so much stuff back and forth.
Question.... Is one locker enough for most couples? We won't be putting food or appliances in it, as we just stay in studios.

Yes, it is enough. When I got the deal, the first six months was free, the second six months was half off. It’s within your DVC account discounts. I searched through them all when I became a member in Feb. Traveled in March. It was nice because it delivers to on site and many off site area hotels too. Cancellation before two years has a fee. You can keep the locker.

Oh and your time doesn’t start until the day they pick up the locker from your hotel. The process was super easy and communication is great. The bins are pretty huge. Like a super sized Christmas bin. Bigger than any that I use. Container is really hard plastic. Bring some stickers to decorate for fun. The owner seems awesome and I’d like to meet him someday. He used to do regular Epcot meet and greets.

Another round of applause for Owner's Locker. I just went and forgot to request it. They had one day notice, and there it was waiting for me.

Bell services was clearly running lean and had a 30 minute wait at checkout. So, I just left it in the hallway on the way out and told them at the desk it was ready to go get. It's back at the warehouse, so I guess someone picked it up.

My kid had outgrown everything, and my toothpaste had turned, thanks Covid! I threw out the popcorn bucket to put in bubble wands, mini fans, swim stuff for everyone (added old flip flops this time!), and our collection of ears. VIP item is the blanket, hands down.

I keep a small travel tool set in mine too. You never know when you may need a Phillips or flat head screw driver or something along those lines. It has come in handy a couple of times.

I wasn't sure I'd be able to carry a screwdriver on, so I brought a small drill bit to handle all the bubble wands and fans and such. Used it twice just this trip, and I have plenty of drill bits, for sure.

I inherited locker items from a former owner in exchange for mailing back precious few dvc items. Then I decided to just get one. My husband’s huge misting fan, sharpie, ponchos, scissors, omelette maker /binoculars (inherited), slippers aka flip flops, ears, Minnie dress are some of the things I remember putting in. As we were trying to cram it shut DH dropped and cracked the Brita one of my main reasons for getting one. Boo!!! I don’t know for sure what finally ended up in there although I started my list before we even left.

We got ours in November, have used it twice and have two more trips scheduled before our first year is up. We like it a lot because they deliver to almost all of the resorts in the Orlando area, not just DVC resorts. Since we are out of DVC points, we are exchanging in via RCI and have stayed at two offsite timeshares with it so far. Staying at non-DVC resorts also affects the items that we keep in there, because not all resorts are equipped the same as the DVC resorts. So we have kitchen knives, a shower caddy and other equipment in there as well as full-size shampoo, body lotion, toothpaste etc. which means that when we are driving I only have to bring enough for nights on the road and not the entire time that we will be in Orlando. We just got back from a timeshare week in Branson, and we certainly did miss some of the items in our Owners Locker!

It is! Your charger, your swimsuit is already there. All you have to do is travel with backpacks! Take away ME, and that's even more appealing. I have free luggage, but I don't have free time to sit at baggage claim/check four times when I could just buy a tube of toothpaste and bring an old swimsuit and I'm set!
