Actually, now I want to read up on Frederick, MD because it has occurred to me that the mid-Atlantic would be a good region for me. I don't hate winter or snow but wish the length of the seasons were switched around - shorter winter and longer summer. Plus, realistically, I asked for choices in all regions but I don't really know if I would want to live that far from family. At least not while the mothers are still with us.

I live just outside of Frederick, and I think it is a really great place. I would live there if it weren't so far away from my job.
