For me it's: Life is a gift.....untie the ribbon.

I saw that somewhere this weekend and it just struck me. Really fits right now.

What's Yours?

My mantra for this school year (applies to there and to home finances!):

I get knocked down, but I get up again, you ain't never gonna keep me down!

I don't really have one, but DH has been saying "What the deuce?" a LOT lately.

My favorite right now is:

"Life is no made up of the breathes we take, but the moments that take our breath away".

"Success is going from one failure to the next with no loss of enthusiasm."

-- Winston Churchill

Here's my favorite Winston Churchill saying "If you're going through hell, keep going." :thumbsup2

With an 18 year old daughter going through the college applications process and playing the waiting game, we're saying "It's all a crap shoot - ya can't take it personally" a lot around here!

I'm your mother, not your maid. And I'm your mother not your best friend. I've had to use them a lot lately because the kids are getting older and they get sassy LOL

Mine to my husband is "And how's that working out for ya?", or "I hope that works out for ya" always said in a sarcastic tone when he does any of the following and more:
1)I have picked up those bikes in the yard three times already!
2)I'd like to have a ham, egg and cheese for breakfast today.
3)Do you think you could wash up some of my jackets, I've had them piled up in the back of my van for weeks.
Etc.....

I have two. One is in my sig: "Get busy living, or get busy dying" from the movie Shawshank Redemption.

And the other is: "It is what it is."
In an interview with Nicole Kidman right after she and Tom Cruise broke up she said that was what her father said to her. It is what it is. It's not always what we want it to be, but we have to deal with it anyways. Can be applied to many situations. I like it. Makes you stop whining.

So many good ones! :thumbsup2

DH has used the "How's that working out for ya" before. I know exactly how it's said ;)

It seems the one we use around here the most lately, is "SERIOUSLY?!" Which usually, is followed by "SERIOUSLY?!" at least 3 more times. Got it from Grey's Anatomy episode.

Some days, you eat the bear. Other days, the bear eats you. But always dress for the hunt.

I don't really have one, but DH has been saying "What the deuce?" a LOT lately.

That one makes me LOL... I love Stewie! My personal favorite is his "compliment sandwich"... I give these out at work all the time. :rotfl:

In parental mode, I saw this one on someone's sig here....

"Prepare the child for the path, not the path for the child."

In my sarcastic mode, and in the spirit of "Hope that works out for ya..."

"Good luck with that."

And finally, my all-purpose excuse/motivator.....

"If you're gonna be a bear, be a Grizzly."
