What's your park "uniform"?

Comfortable walking shoes and gold-toe socks for comfort and absorbsion. Khaki and white denim capris, mix of layering from tanks to my Ed Hardy Mickey Mouse zip up hoodie and some bling either earrings, rings, or short necklaces. I use a string backpack for easy carry on into the parks.:santa:

Broken in Asics
Under Armour compression shorts
cargo shorts
Backpack
UA compression shirt
Disney t-shirt depending on park
UA socks
Georgia hat

However last year during the December cold snap:
Jeans instead of shorts
ADD Cold weather UA shirts
ADD Heavy hoodie

IT WAS COLD!:scared1:
Big fan of the Under Armour compression gear and moisture wicking socks. Helps prevent chaffing and is very comfortable.

Great advice on the Under Armour! Does it keep you pretty cool on the hot days? I'm a big fan of the moisture wicking socks. :thumbsup2

I think so.
I live in GA so the weather and humidity level is pretty similar to Florida. I work outside all year long, even in inclement weather. Plus I play tournament softball on the weekends even in the summer. So you can play 6 games in a day up to 12 hours worth.
I wear UA compression shirts pretty much every day at work and when I play I wear compression/sliding shorts under my baseball pants. A lot of guys have issues with chaffing but I rarely do. The heat gear works well, remember it isn't sweating that cools you down it's the sweat evaporating that cools you. The cold gear adds another layer and keeps your core temp up.

I don't think knowing what works for you for theme park touring is insane, as someone stated. High maintenance, yep probably. If I wore my everyday life clothes, I would be wearing dresses/suits & heels to Disney... and that is not condusive to my comfort...!:rotfl:

I got the moisture wicking yoga capris from Walmart, they are the Danskin brand. They are very, very comfy. They also have pants & bermuda shorts. Target also has some moisture wicking items, but they are more expensive than the Walmart selection.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this.... but cotton undies (for men & women) hold moisture and get soggy. Try microfiber or Under Armor, works wonders.

So hold on. You go to the supermarket and to the mal in your work clothes? I wear a suit and tie to the office every day, too. But that doesn't mean I don't own a pair of jeans and sneakers. Seriously now...

I dress relatively casually in my everyday life (as a mom and performing arts teacher), but I don't wear the same stuff when I travel. It's not practical or comfortable enough. Mainly because I don't dress only for comfort in real life. I want to look good, and that involves matching jewelry and non-athletic shoes and Spanx. :lmao: On a normal day I don't spend all day walking for miles, in the scorching heat. If I'm going to be doing that, i.e. if I'm on a hike or at a theme park, I dress accordingly. :goodvibes

I'm going to go look for some of those Danskin pants! I wear yoga pants alot to teach and while working out, so I could use more anyway. Does it say "moisture wicking" on the label?

I was trying to make a joke. My apologies if it didn't read that way. But, yes, if I need to pick something up, I go in my work clothes.

I personally do not like wearing sneakers to WDW because I haven't found any that are all that comfortable for my feet/joints. I have jeans, too many pairs, but do not like to wear them at WDW because they are not comfortable all day. I found what works for me, and was offering my input because someone requested ideas. :goodvibes

Ohhh... almost forgot to add... a baby in an ergo baby-carrier with Dry-max! Hope it does not get too warm :)

Will have to look into yoga pants... great idea!

I have trouble finding pants that are comfortable, and I'm afraid I'm past the age to wear shorts. :rotfl: But I'm hoping to wear some thin knit workout yoga pants and a t-shirt, and one of my friends said I should try Keen shoes, but my aunt swears by Clarks, so I think I want to try some different brands. I have a pair of Rocket Dog running shoes but they hurt my toes so they are out.

I just bought a Vera Bradley backpack and I'm hoping it's big enough to carry the stuff I want to put in it.

rayban sunglasses, hair in ponytail, cute tank top or 2 layered, matching capri or short, tevas or fit-flops (to match outfit:rolleyes1), and baggallini (camera, cel, water bottle, etc).
i'm normally the one playing in the puddles, non-stop laughing, and loving the 90+ degree heat

So, as the girl in the relationship, it has long been my responsibility to carry the "stuff" (i.e.- both pair of sunglasses, both phones, both wallets, sunscreen, etc.). However, I recently purchased the Patagonia Atom Sling Pack... for the hubs.

That's right... this year, my husband is carrying the crap. :lmao: My lipstick and cell phone will fit in my pocket, and that's all I plan on keeping up with.

Head to toe... Here we go....!

Head -
Daytime - Sunglasses - double as a headband, ponytail holders I have Disney ones - only used at the WDW, light makeup, disney earrings, and sunscreen.
Evening
- Cute hair clips for a simple updo ( I have longer hair), light make-up with some eye shadow, lip gloss, disney earrings.
Hair products - I use my reg shampoo and conditioner, I have 2 mousses that I really like and hold up well with the humidity,Herbal essences Boby envy (orange bottle) for volumizing and tousle me softly(purple bottle) for easy control of very wavy hair, I don't use then at the same time, one or the other depending on how I want to wear my hair. I do use a light hair spray -Garnier sleek and shine anti-humidity, it works great and does not leave a sticky or stiff residue on your hair.

Body
Day - Tanks, T-shirts, Polo shirts, shorts, or skorts -sunscreen - We prefer to wear tennis shoes during the day, We like Nike
Evening - Depends on ADRS - Skirt, top- sundress, Dressy capris and top, Sandals, with a back better support for walking.

For cooler weather - we add jeans and khakis with 1 or 2 long sleeve shirts to wear over shorter sleeves, and a hoodie, Disney themed of course, and deck shoes

Bag - I use a Vera B. hipster or a black leather hipster style (this one is a bit larger) from wilson leather

My family does not do comando style touring, and we normally take a break mid-day to hang out at the pool or nap in the room. With the humidity I can not go all day without a break and another shower. We have been touring like this for ever we have it down to a routine. It sounds like alot of products, but it really isn't, I down size my make-up and take only what I need.

I've had really good luck wearing "water shorts" (the kind you can buy at REI or other sporting goods stores). Mine are called "Women's Columbia River Sandy River Cargo Water Shorts" (they make a men's version, too). They're made out of a moisture-wicking material, and are very light and cool. They're meant for outdoor activities like hiking, river rafting, etc., and are great for water rides like Splash Mountain, because they dry so quickly! You can even wash them out at night in the hotel room sink, and they're dry by morning.

Besides that, I usually wear a t-shirt (sleeveless if it's really hot, or short-sleeved), flip flops or Easy Spirit "sneaker-mules", and a visor. My visor is great because it has a velcro tab in the back that allows me to loop it through the strap of my bag easily when I'm not wearing it.

I also often carry a small cross-body purse or small messenger bag. Nothing big and bulky.

You sound like me!!! Planning down to the Disney ponytail holders :goodvibes I do special hair and makeup too, and I have Mickey and Tinkerbell earrings.

I sometimes have problems chafing so I am typically careful when wearing skirts/dresses for all day outdoors at parks. I have a pair of swim shorts that I throw on under my skirt and that prevents all the chafing. One time I didn't think and wore a pair of shorts that are very comfy....but soon realized it was loose fitting enough that my thighs chafed together, even with bodyglide type stuff. The swim shorts save me, are lightweight to pack and somewhat quick dry. Bike shorts work too :) I just always make sure they are long enough to cover all parts of my thighs that rub together.

My fave wear now is leggings, even in the hot summer. They are thin and lightweight enough and I have zero chafing problems.

Comfortable clothes are one thing. But that certainly doesn't mean one needs to be in Mickey cr@p from head to toe, either.
