What's your one week GRAND total?

Bump!! This is a great thread. I'm learning alot and hope I can sit down tomorrow and post mine.

We paid $1600 up front for the Resort Magic Plan ( 2 adults, 1 child) in 1999 (November) for 8 days/7 nights. The plan included Unlimited Magic (Length of Stay) Passes - theme park passes for all 4 parks, access to all 3 water parks, DQ, WWoS and our room an the All-Stars. We didn't take advantage of all the options as you might expect.
We spent an additional $900 over the course of the week for gas & tolls (drove from SE PA), food (including two character meals, although we used our flex feature to pay for breakfast ;)), souvenirs, Daytona USA and Kennedy Space Center.

I've been budgeting out next trip, same week, 5 years later (November 2004) and have added US, IoA and Sea World. Including most of the food (take average prices from menus) and all other expenses I think we'll incur and I'm right about that same mark, without the package. Right now I plan to spend 3 nights off-site to tour the other Orlando parks, then move to All Stars or Pop Century for 4 nights while touring WDW.

I love the planning!

This is for last year's stay, 10/5/2002 - 10/12/2002. We stayed at Wilderness Lodge with our DVC points. It was me, DH and DS(age 7)

Airfare - about $700
Premium Annual Passes - $ 1,417.30
Towncar from airport - $105 (with tip)
Grocery stop - $60
Expenses charged to room - $575
Misc cash - $100 (snacks at the parks, meals at the airport, etc)

We ate breakfast in the room everyday with supplies from the grocery stop. We have one sit-down meal almost every day and eat counter service or at Roaring Forks for the other. We try to charge everything to our room because then we get a printout at the end of the trip with everything we spent. We don't buy too many souvenirs - usually a shirt or two for each of us, a couple Christmas ornaments, a couple postcards and some Mickey pretzels.

Family of 7, 2 adults, children 9,8,6,4 & 17mos

This is a neat thread. We were in WDW when it was started. It's hard to believe we have been back less that one month...

FTP - 7 nights at Ft.W cabins(lots of room and a full kitchen!) inlcudes UPH & trip insurance = $2,509

-groceries from Publix
-meals - eating out 2 meals/day, mostly counter service because of baby, snacks during day
-breakfast in cabin, one morning at Trail's End
-shopping, each child bought 2 toys, everyone got t-shirts
-bought lots of "Disney" pictures
-dinner at Chef Mickeys- the best!
-autograph books and pens
-$5/day tip to mousekeeping

Basically we did not budget, we bought what we want, without being excessive, everyone was happy for a grand total of $4,200.
Considering a family of 7 spend one week at WDW I think we did very good and I was very happy!

It was the best family vacation! One we all will remeber for yrs to come.

We budget $55/person/day for food/snacks/drinks. This includes 1 sit down meal for breakfast or lunch and everything else counterservice. We do not consume alcohol.

We have paid as low as $78/person RT airfare on Southwest or as much as $150.

We use Tiffany Towncar so that is $85/vacation.

Hotels: we only stay on site and have paid as low as $49/night at AS to as much as $119/night at DXL.

OVERALL: For hubby and me 7 days/6 nights we budget $2,000 for EVERYTHING and we have always come in under budget. Once as low as $1500.

My family is going to WDW 9/24-10/4. Driving from NY and this is how we figured our budget:

9/24 1nite hotel $75

9/25-9/27 ASM $87 ( 1nite paid already)

9/27 - 10/4 Offsite Mom's Time share (no cos)

2 4-dayph $410

Gas/tolls for drive down - $190

Hotel for drive home $75

$100 p/day for food/spending

Plan on eating in Timeshare for breakfast, bring lunch/snack/drinks to parks. Eat out for dinner only. On site or off site dosen't matter.

Not much into souvieuners, DS (almost 3), DD (2) have been earning their spending money from parents and grandparents.

Is this DOABLE
