Yeah, we found that out. We've had several trees removed (and still many, many left) during our 20 years at this house so we had an idea, at least. We always feared this one tree dying due to its size, a sloping backyard, power lines, and the house nearby. The original quote started at a staggering $7K, but thankfully, there was a couple of discounts that took it down *some*. I keep telling DH that we can make a fire pit... use the cut-up stump as seats and then use the rest as firewood.
we took a couple of chunks of the stump and set them up for axe throwing. got a few of the smaller axes.
