Whats' your next big purchase?

Computer. One I have works just fine for everything I do, but some of the software can't be updated because they don't support my operating system anymore, and my hardware won't support the latest version of Windows. Yeah, I know 16 years is a long time, but like I said, it does everything I need it to do.

Landscaping. I’ve been waiting 40+ years for it. I’ve picked out black slate mulch and I’m still shopping around for the stone border that I want. Still not holding my breath but my husband keeps telling me that this is the year. 🙄

Back yard fence. Ours is falling down. We think it is 30-40 years old and we need a new one.

We’re getting major foundation work starting this week. Then we need to buy a new washing machine and replace the kitchen window as the seal is broken. Never ending. Nothing fun or exciting, but necessary.

Car.
We had a bit of excitement recently when our daughter's car burned in a parking lot. She's in grad school and can't afford a car payment right now. So, we passed on our 'spare' car to her, and we are going to make my regular commuter car our new spare; and, I'm getting a new car. :)

I had to get a new laptop the end of the year. I also only need it for certain things. I forget how many years I had it and kept getting worse and worse and then I got some message no updates or support would be available as of January or something like that so knew it was time. I went to Best Buy and found one that I absolutely love. The old one was so slow and took forever to do anything it is a world of difference.

2 pieces of property bordering two sides of our farm.
Or, as my husband calls them 'Elbow Room'

We'd like to refurb the backyard. It'll be a big project and a big expense. Of course, hubby wants to do it ourselves and I'm not a good outdoor worker

At some point: new roof, paint exterior of home, new outdoor wall sconces, new backyard patio, tear down pool house and hopefully put up something in its place. Will probably have to include some inground pool updating because the patio touches it. Still need one more furnance and one more AC unit.

We were supposed to go to London in April but we had a family situation and had to cancel. We're going to rebook that for the fall (hopefully).

total overhaul of existing hot tub-power issue and sub zero temps last winter caused multiple pipe and manifold breaks. repair 'god' (repairmen are few and far between these days-many retired during covid) will replace all and go ahead and pull and replace all the jets. pricey but less than a third of the price of a replacement tub (when we considered replacing we were floored to discover that in the 16 years since we bought ours they have more than quadrupled in price ).
