What's your middle name and why were you named that?

I am surprised at how few people have fessed up to my middle name: Anne. Family name in my case. Two of my female cousins also have Anne as a middle name.

DD1's middle name is Jayne after DH's grandmother (died before he and I started dating, but his favorite grandparent). Grandma Jane's birthday was a couple days before DD was born.

DD2's middle name is Victoria after no one in particular. We couldn't decide between Maiya Elizabeth (Elizabeth after DH's mom) or Victoria Grace (Grace after my great-great grandmother). We ended up chucking both middle names and she ended up Maiya Victoria.

My middle name is Leigh after Janet Leigh. Nope, we don't know her, have no connection to her, my mom just liked the name. There were five in our family, and we all got middle names that begin with L.

My DD6 has the middle name Nicole after me
DD3 has the middle name Alana after DH whose middle name is Alan
