What's your least favorite popular restaurant?

My 6 yr old just asked me, "Can we never eat again at the Beauty and the Beast castle? The food is so gross." (We've been twice for dinner only).
That makes two castles out of the game. Cinderellas Dinner (2 xs just to be certain also) just YUCK!

OH I forgot 1900 Park Fare. Arrived famished from a trans country flight and it was inedible. A total wet blanket to start our trip.

'Ohana - had an hour+ wait time with an ADR, and the food was very disappointing.
Pecos Bills - I have seen so many people saying how this is one of their top places to eat in MK and I don't understand it. I am thinking of giving it another try when we go in November. The last time one we ate here was July of 2013, so maybe it has changed? I had also just quit smoking and maybe my taste buds were wonky at the time. (the soda tasted like it was made with chlorinated water)

Ohana, Tony's, Sci-Fi, and most of character meals.... It was super convenient to have Character buffet meals when DS was young since I would hate to line up for the characters. However, now that DS has no interest in characters, no more of those. Usually, those meals tend to be too loud and unless your timing of getting the food and eating falls right in between the characters, it's impossible to have hot food.

Garden Grill breakfast. I kept reading how great it was and how fun the characters were, so I was thrilled when I got an ADR right when the restaurant opened for breakfast for a party of six last December.

Oh, boy, but I was disappointed. First, the seating...the rotating part was fun, and I loved seeing the back of the farm house from our table. But being a large party, we were in one of the long (looooong) booths. It was extremely hard for six people (adults, not kids) to get out of that booth to actually interact with the characters when they came around. What made it harder was the fact that people were walking past getting seated and servers were walking past with huge pans of food. The aisle was narrow and busy, and the characters didn't really do that much other than pose to take pics. I know we're not kids, but every character meal I've been to other than this one, the characters had fun 'playing' with us (Mickey sat down at the table with us at 'Ohana and Piglet was hysterical acting afraid of my 6'6 nephew in CP, for example). They came around a lot, but after a few attempts at pics that didn't work well, we just stayed seating when they came past. It was underwhelming.

That part I would have just brushed off if the food had been good. But the coffee was weak, the eggs dry and rubbery, our first round of tater tots were cold, the bacon was way too dry and the sausage greasy and weird tasting. The only thing I really liked were the cinnamon rolls, but not so much that they were worth the price of breakfast.

All of that said, people with young kids might have a blast. Maybe it was just an off day for food. But with the party size we usually travel with, it's not on our list to go back to.

We were also underwhelmed with Tusker House (just found it chaotic), but are willing to go back there. But seeing as we like Y&Y so much, I don't know when that will be!

Pretty sure Pecos Bills changed to Tex-Mex since 2013 (at least I think it was after that when I ate there and it was burgers), so it may be a totally different menu now.

My #1, Ohana's. It's ok but not worth the effort to find an ADR. We are not a huge fan of the options there. We now have Brazilian steakhouse locally and it's way better
LoL< It's funny how you say that......Up here in NJ, Newark to be exact there are a ton of Portuguese 7 brazilian rodizio's..1 I ate at just last night too and was only $29 p/p....Big difference from Disney prices which are inflated (I realize). We do like the ambience / atmosphere at Ohana's but the meal has taken a step back in recent years.....It's just that there isn't really anything else like this down there :confused3.

The absolute worse for me is CRT and now that everyone I know has eaten there I will never do it again. This past October I took my great niece for her birthday. Cinderella was not available when we came in so they told us we could see her after we had eaten. About half way through our meal the Hostess comes to the table and asks if we had seen Cinderella yet. We told her no and she says " well if you want to see her you need to go now because she is leaving". We went downstairs to get our picture taken, came back up to find our table had been cleared. Not cool. And lately Columbia Harbour House has gone bland and Liberty Tree tasted like a Hungry Man frozen dinner. Disney's move to "healthy" has left a lot of the food lacking in flavor over the past few years.

I think Chef Mickey's we've done it for dinner and then tried breakfast the next trip. We didnt' care for either and have not returned!! I didn't think the food or character interaction was great there.

Hollywood & Vine.
Been there twice for character breakfasts. Each time gets worse.
Last time, we were seated late, despite there being lots of open tables. 8:30 reservation and we didn't get seated until almost 9. We were seated in a booth that had sugar and syrup all over the seat. The hostess said she would send someone to clean it up. Nobody came. I was standing for 5 minutes until our waitress came along and wondered why I was standing there like an idiot before she cleaned it up herself.
The food at the buffet was warm at best. It was very messy too. I almost slipped on a greasy sausage link on the ground. The omelet station had the best food, but the guy making the omelets had the personality of a baked potato.
We had to beg a plead for drink refills. I just wanted some coffee and I was nearly done eating before she brought more.
What a disaster.

Chef Mickey's and Mama Melrose. DD had a plastic bag in her food there (it was large too!). How could someone plate a meal another person carry that meal and neither noticed a plastic bag in it? We won't be back.

Everyone has that one restaurant that everyone raves about, but you think is mediocre at best. What is it for you?

My family has a few.

Earl of Sandwich: small sandwiches and a long line
Be Our Guest: fantastic scenery but mediocre overpriced food, even for WDW
Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace: Golden Corrals with characters at outrageous prices

Please don't judge others for their opinions. I'd love to hear what others have to say.

I gotta agree with the original poster on Be Our guest, Chef Mickey's, and Crystal Palace. Although CP was almost required for us when the kids were little to see the characters.

Shula's. The worst steak I have ever had. I have seen people list it as best steak on property. Not to me.

Sanaa - I wasn't feeling the menu at all :confused3. The only item I enjoyed was the Naan platter with all the different dips and spreads. Pretty basic!
