What's your ideal soft drink container size

I found myself at a supermarket looking for soft drinks. This week there's a special on 1.25 liter bottles of Coke products ($1.25 each), although this place didn't have Cherry Coke, which I've seen in that bottle size. They weren't refrigerated though. They also had 2 liter bottles at 3 for $5 but it required buying multiples of 3 to get that price. I didn't think I could justify buying that much since I find it always gets flat since I and my family can't consume it quickly enough. But here's a comparison:

Right now the price of 12 oz cans here is through the roof. A 12 pack is typically about $9.99, although often that can come with some sale like buy 2 get 2 free, but that still means about $5 each 12 pack. I do find it a convenient size though.

2 liter bottles always seemed like way too much unless it was for a party and the entire bottle is completely consumed within an hour or so.

I never really understood the 20 oz bottle that's only sold as singles. It tends to be really expensive (I've seen Coke/Pepsi/7Up as much as $3) for them and even more in vending machines. The 500 ml bottle that might come in six packs is pretty reasonably priced, although I still find prices all over the map. I mean - $7, unless it's on sale? I used to love Coke's 8 pack of 12 oz bottles, but that's usually pretty pricey around here too.

When I was younger, I remember a lot of short 8 oz cans that were the same width as 12 oz cans. But now Coke, Pepsi, and others have 7.5 oz mini cans. Not necessarily at the best price, but a good amount if one does want to drink too much.

Not sure what I had overseas. A variety of different can sizes, although I remember visiting Asia years ago and drinking Coke out of these tiny bottles. Might have been about 6 oz although they were obviously in some metric units.

I still like the 12 oz can since it's what I grew up with - even back when they used pull tabs.

We like the 16.9 oz bottles that we buy by the six-pack and stock up when they're on a decent sale.

The 2-ltr size just loses its fizz before we finish it.

As for the cans, they just taste strange -- metallic after-taste -- compared to the bottles. And yes, we drink enough of the stuff that we can tell the difference.

For the most part for me it's 12oz cans. I always buy the diet stuff if that makes a difference, but I have no problem finishing a 2 liter bottle in a day. It is just too easy to keep going back and pouring more. I figure that's not a good thing.

I like the 16.9 bottles for times when I am out and about. I like being able to put the lid back on to prevent spills.

As far as taste goes, I do not think you can beat the taste of a glass bottle.

12oz cans.

But I pour the can into a washed/reused 12oz gatorade bottle and sip on it over a couple of days.

I only buy the 16.9oz bottles that come in a 6 pack.
My DH takes one Diet Pepsi with his lunch every day, and I drink one Root Beer with my pizza on Sundays. Occasionally I will have a 7-Up with dinner.

The only time I buy 2 Liters is when we’ll have a large get together.

You can get most of the brand name soft drinks in the 1.25 liter bottles at DollarTree for $1.25.

I like the 6 pack bottles but often get the mini cans - I have a soda addiction so try to curb that as much as possible ! The bottles are nice because I can have a little abd reseal it !

Not too big on sweets but I like the small Stewart's Root Beer glass bottles for an every once in a while treat. I actually have mini Sprite and Coke in the garage from last Christmas for cocktails, suppose I should check if they expired & replace, thanks for reminding me.

Back before I gave up Coke, I was drinking 2-3 20oz bottles a day plus 32 to 64 oz at restaurants with meals.

At that time I was not a fan of anything bigger than 16oz bottles.

We stopped buying soda a few years ago. We had been buying cases of the cans.

I mostly buy the 12oz cans for drinking at home, but I try not to drink it very often.

Now fountain sodas I will drink waaaay too much of on occasion. It's just so easy to guzzle a drink with a straw.

We buy the 12 oz cans in 12 packs.
Only when on sale. That is DH's caffeine of choice. (Coke Zero)
He goes through a lot.

I buy the 500ml 6-pack bottles when they go on sale. They need to be $4.50 or less each, usually in a “must buy 3 or 4” deal.

I stocked up on 12 6-packs at a 3 for $9.99 deal, limit 4 offers, of Canada Dry products. Mostly Sunkist diet orange, with a diet 7up and a diet ginger ale.

I no longer buy 12 pack cans because they’re rarely under $5 each, even with a multipack deal.

Soda is not on my new eating plan. But it really depends on what I’m using it for and how much I planned to drink. 12oz can being the default. The mini cans are perfectly sized for a treat.

I like anywhere from 12 to 20 oz. Anything larger is too much to drink at one time.

12 oz cans typically. Diet caffeine free coke. Can't guy more than a 12 pack at a time as the aspartame sweetener has a pretty short life before it loses it sweetening abilities. Expiration dates are generally about 3 months out at most. After that, yuck!

We don't buy much soda anymore, but I prefer the 12 ounce cans because they are easier to recycle than plastic bottles. You can crush the cans so they take up less space.
Those prices are nuts. I just checked. a 24 pack of soda here is $8.24 and a 12 pack is $4.46.
