well she posted on the CB how her GPA was 4.0.

we do it out of a 6.0

but i have a 5.7 out of a possible 5.8 for me.

to explain a bit how mine system works
Academic classes/A-4, B-3. C-2.D-1,F-0
Advanced Classes/A-5,B-4,C-3,D-2,F-O
Honors Classes/1-6,B-5,C-4,D-3,F-O

Im taking 6 honors and 1 advanced(band is advanced) so its about a 5.8...im not sure how the round it though.and I had one B(a stupid 87 in english!)

so how about you?

Well I don't know, because in our school we don't do it based on 4.0. But out of 100, my grade point average is about 94. That's probably a 4.0 or pretty close to it.

My combine average is somewhere from 93-95. I'm not sure. There is a way to take your average and convert it to GPA form...but I have no clue how to do it. WDWfanatic...thats kinda weird. Most high schools and ALL colleges go up to 4.0.

hmm.. well see I'm not sure b/c we don't have GPAs and since I'm only allowed to take 2 honors classes right now, I'm not sure- but I have all As- that's good right? :)

You have a GPA. Justa dd up the grades from all your classes, then divide by the number of classes, that will give you your GPA. I dont know how to convert it into the way colleges do it though.

I have a 4.0, or all A's. I take all advanced 10th grade classes (except for band and spanish 2 because they don't offer advanced). At our school we have College Prep (regular) or advanced classes for ninth and tenth grade, then Community College Prep, University prep, and something else for 11th and 12th. But i'm taking 10th grade classes this year as a freshman, so I'll probably be in University Prep next year.

<font color=blueviolet size=3>AN 87% IN ENGLISH IS A B?!?!
That's crazy!! Anyways, we don't have GPA's in Canada... well at least the same as in the US. We just have like averages I guess. I got my midterm report card on Thursday & my average was 88%... which isn't really as good as I'd like... I got 87% in English, 97% in peer tutoring, 81% in Law (which is really stupid b/c all my marks on assignments in that class have been over 81... my teacher is just dumb!!), & I have 85% in Finite (a university Math course). My average is ALWAYS 88% 1st semester (which is weird) & then 2nd semester I get like a 90-something average.

My grades were mostly Bs this year because it is the 1st quarter and I never seem to do extremly well the 1st quarter. The two easy classes, Health & Latin 2, are the only As I have. No C, D, OR Fs.

yay i have a post inspired by me heh lol jk i got a 4.0 which is all A's!First time ever!

My school doesn't do GPA's.
If a school asks for them, they willl figure it out but because i go to a private school they won't do it.
Basically, if all the classes anyone in my school is taking were put into a public school they would all be honors and everyone at the school is in the top 50% of the class.
That's what our school tells us if we ask about it.

I have a 4.0 for 9th grade but I know it will go down to at least a 3.99 after first semester because I got a B+ in History.

Our school's GPA for 9-10 grades is on a 4.0 scale unless you take AP (college-level) classes, which give you an extra grade point. I am a sophomore and taking AP Biology (only AP 10th grade can take) so I can have up to a 4.2 GPA. Out of 4.2, it is a 4.2 lol. Next year (11th grade) all honors/AP classes are weighted (extra grade point) so my GPA will be out of a 5.0.

Look!! Over there!! Is that Mickey??

::Suzi runs under the nearest table, and hides until this thread has well and truly dissapeared::

:D

<font color=blueviolet size=3>LOL Suzi!! What's wrong, why are ya hiding? LOL ;) :D

Im not sure how to figure it out. i have all Honors classes and 1 AP class. for every honors class adds 1/2 a point to your GPA and the AP calss adds a point. I have a B in the AP class and all A's in the others but im not sure how it all adds up in the end

My culminative GPA is a 2.54, which ranks me #206 out of 398 in my class, pretty average. This is on a 4.0 scale, where honors classes give you an extra .17.

My GPA this year (Senior Year) is a 4.01, but my GPA my freshman year was a 1.8, so you can say that I've definetly improved.

Suzi you crack me up!!! :D

ok well I like our scale b/c Im taking all Honors classes and if I get a B in it its ok b/c I still get 5 points....otherwise I would get 3 on the 4.0 GPA...and also it rewards you for taking harder classes....b/c you wont be in top 10%(automatically admitted to any state college) if you dont take hard classes. The school can figure out my GPA the other way.

When do yall get your ranks in your class? We get it the start of our Junior year..s I have to wait until next year! :(

Well we got ours around the middle of junior year, but they weren't the final ranks, they were just an estimate. Then they gave us our real final ranks this year about a month ago.

We get updated class ranks like once or twice a year. Last year (freshman year) I was #1 with like 25 others cuz we all had a 4.0. This year it will definitely change though - I think we find out our new ones in a few weeks.
