Okay everyone, I know there are some serious shoppers on this board- what's your game plan for this Friday- how much of your shopping do you hope to accomplish? Favorite stores? Any one thing you just HAVE to get for your kids, spouse or someone special? And what do YOU hope to find under the tree?

My plan? My main plan is to get up at 6:00, be at my Mom's house by 6:30, and be at Target at opening, which I think is 7:00 (I have to double check that...please don't be 6:00!!). I need to get stocking stuffers for everyone- little books, lip ointments, pens, candies, etc, a single cup coffee maker for DH, small gifts for DH's coworkers, gift wrap and tags, and one more toy for my 6 year old- probably a Star Wars item or Imaginext. I also need to get a gift for my Dad for his birthday, which is 12/26. Other than that, I got most of my shopping done already- I went crazy doing the online thing about a month ago, and we cut down on who we exchange gifts with, so that solves that! I also would like to go to Costco to get some books for my kids, but I may do that on Wednesday.

The thing I HAD to get for my kids this year were Unicron Transformer for my 6 year old (he's getting that for his bday which is this Friday), the Mega Blocks Castle & Leap Pad books for 6 year old, Disney Kid Clips (I got a TON of these---he's going to be overwhelmed, but I couldn't stop myself!) & player for 2 1/2 year old, and I also got him the Leap Frog ABC Froggie. DH is getting a Sonicare toothbrush & said coffee maker; my parents are getting lots of kitchen goodies for their new house they just bought here in Oregon (YAY_ they're no longer 700 miles away!) and my Mother in Law is getting a huge, gorgeous gift basket from Bath and Body Works (I want one!)..Niece and Nephews are getting the Finding Nemo DVD & lithographs to hang in their bathroom..brother and sis in law are getting a Red Lobster GC...and lots of my friends will find Creative Memories goodies under their tree as yours truly became a consultant this year and loves to share my now closet full of CM of stuff!! :teeth:

What I want? A digital camera!

What about YOU!?!?!?!

I'd love to find a deal Friday morning on a printer/copier/scanner from HP, and TV/VCR combo of the 20" size but, we'll see.

I don't usually make my game plan till I buy the 3 papers on Thursday morning, scan all the ads then make the game plan for where to hit first on Friday morning.

We usually leave my house by 4:00, 4:30 ish we don't live close to the stores so we have about a 1/2 to 45 minute drive. The best part is going out to breakfast at the diner about 10 or an early lunch at about 11 then we usually end our day at the Outlets in Tilton, NH which is a bit over an hour from home.

We are usually home in time to have turkey sandwiches for dinner then it's unload and drop for the night.

Well I have to work 12 hours on Thur and Fri so I want to wish all you shoppers a HAPPY shopping day.
Since we just came back from 7 days at WDW and my boys got a bunch of new cloths to take with them----I told them MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! They will get new school shoes and a few sm items. For the most part I will be buying for my neices and I already have gifts for my special friends.
With being on the chemo Christmas this year is going to be very sm. Just not up to get------toooo TIRED!!!!

Wishing everyone a very Happy and safe Thankgiving

No game plan yet!! I am suppose to go out with my sister. I have to check with her...see if she's still going! She's NEVER shopped on this day! Always turned me down, but this year she said she'd like to go!;) Anyways...lists are made. I'll check out the ads on Thursday and go from there. I usually try not to have to long of a list. That way if stores are really bad, I'm not in a crunch to get done. Alot of mine is done already...just finishing up! But who doesn't love a deal!!!! ::yes:: :teeth:

Unusual female here .. I hate shopping!! (I think that's one of the reasons my DH married me, LOL) I do the majority of my shopping on-line through www.boxtops4education.com; it gets my shopping done and also benefits our school.

All you avid shoppers out there, have a blast!! :D

My plan.......SLEEP!! DH will be home, so I have no intention of getting up before 8 a.m.!!! If I get brave, I may go in the afternoon, but it is not worth my time and aggrevation to hit those stores and lines at 6 a.m. Have fun, ladies.

I need a TV for my dad so that is my main goal this year I'm finished most of my main shopping already. The kids anyway. My biggest black friday sale was a computer and printer for $199. It was suppose to be $299 but they messed up the rebate and I got it for even less. We also got msn free for a year and they goofed and gave it to us for 1 1/2 for free.

My husband has to work a little that day so i will be dragging a 3 and 4 year old with me. They are very well trained for sales though and can spot some even I don't see.

Apparently Toys R us is doing a big thing Friday as well. There big book of sales was only good till last Saturday and they are putting out another one. This time you will get an Elmo if you spend $100. My kids are over Elmo and I'm still mad they ran out of Simba's!

You ladies are way braver than I am. You would not catch me anywhere near a store on Friday! In fact, I am now at the point where I will not shop on the weekends anymore until the holidays are over. I will go during the week, before or after work, since most of the stores have extended hours.

In theory, I'm going to work that day.... I'll probably get cancelled though. Not planning on going shopping though. dd is taken care of pretty much... a lot of kim possible (at gasp, full price):D I'm planning for the 90% off christmas at target. :D

hey julianne, maybe I can drag pam with me up to your target. maggie

I only like to shop 2 days out of the year - the day after Thanksgiving and the day after Christmas. My mom and I have made it a tradition! We never NEED anything. It's just the idea! I don't have kids, so it's not like we have to find the latest and greatest toy! I equate it to hunting!

My mom will pick me up around 3:45 and we will head to Columbia, MO (about an hour and 45 minutes away!):earseek: That will put us there just before 6. Plenty of time to hit the 6 am stores before the 7 am stores open. Usually have lunch around 11 and will end the day at Sam's picking up groceries. Then we will marvel at how we could spend so much money after not needing anything! :teeth:

As far away from the mall as possible!!!!

I do not shop Black Friday. Last year I did it and I still am wondering why! I do not deal with cranky pushy crowds!!! I think I'll internet shop this year!

I agree with most posters about the crowds and such...that's why I only plan on hitting Target first thing, and then go home! I don't like that "pressured" feeling of shopping, but I like to be part of the hub-bub; that's why I do 90% of my shopping before Thanksgiving, so I feel like I'm just having fun or maybe getting a good deal the day after Thanksgiving. ::yes::

differs a little each year if someone has to work - or someone new joins us!

We even bring our walki talkies so we can have one person grab quantities of things! We are sooo bad - we are those people you all hate - lol! But that way we don't have to push or shove ;)

I need to do just about ALL of my shoppin!
I can't wait to see that paper!

We will be in line at Walmart at 5:30am (I am the lucky one to live the closest - my mom has to come about 25 minutes)

I will get my husband those cheap jeans for working in,
The Leap pad for DS
The Blender for me - I broke mine and haven't replaced it yet!)
The hamburger maker thing for a Swap gift
The HUmmer RC car for my nephew
The My Scene and/or other doll for DD
maybe the Nintendo cube for DD
)(I already have the Peg Pergo Dump Truck on layaway for DS!)

Then we will hit Bob's Store, Filenes, Toy's R Us, Bath and Body Works, Yankee Candle and anywhere else anyone wants to go!

Finally we will top it all off with Lunch at Longhorns, the 99 or Pizzaria Uno! Unfortunaltey this year I have to forego the usual Margarita

I love shopping the day after Thanksgiving. The only shopping I will be doing this year is at Disney World. YEAH!!! I am so excited I am about to bust!!!

I just received an email from one of my LSS. They are having a sale this Friday - 20% off total purchase or 40% off one item. I don't NEED any more sb items, but it's a sale :)!

Maggie and Pammy Jo. I would love to see you at my Target! I'm still trying to pick out the wrapping paper I want for next year. Wednesday I'm having my husband drag out the decorations. I can't wait to see all the stuff I got on last year sales. I get so much I always forget what I have. My husband just laughs at me.

I always go alone. It is always snowing. I always forget my gloves. This year I won't I put my gloves in my car yesterday. Now I just have to remember to put them on. I Go to that store that has that one thing. Always have to be back for dh to go to work May get in two stores. better than nothing. Have to enjoy all the nuts Like me that day. I LOVE BLACK FRIDAY. Am also glad i don't work it any more because I used to hate it. so for all the employees that you will pass give them a big smile. THEY NEED IT!!!!!

Are you Black Friday Shoppers familiar with the My Coupons website. They have message boards for all sorts of "savings opportunities." One one of the boards, the "Look What I found" board there are lists of what will be in the ads on Friday.

So you don't have to wait until Friday to get your game plan.

The LWIF board is pretty much just for posting what you've found, there is another boad called "My Two Cents Worth" which is where the questions go like "Who has a DVD on sale cheap?"

I am off for the first time in years and I think I may try to hit a sale. I am not sure which one,but I am leaning toward KB toys.
