Does any one else get fed up with trying to think of something different for their evening meal? If so why not tell us what your favourite meal is and give each other some ideas. Ours at the moment is

Terriyaki chicken with saute potatoes.

I love a good sunday dinner, doesn;t have to be Sunday though! Any meat - gammon, lamb, beef, chicken turkey not fussy as long as it's got roasties, veggies and yummy gravy!

But when time is short in the week we make a lot of fajitas and burritos, stirfrys and stuff like that. Yummo!

Really into fish at the mo. Fresh Tuna, with saute pots too! Lemon Sole simply grilled with a wedge of lemon, new pots and a green veg (frozen peas:thumbsup2 ). Both meals are so quick too.
For the couple of nights when we are out after school I prepare in advance either a Cottage pie and make the mash cheesy, good ole spag bol (kids love it and I hide loads of veg in it) or toad in the hole (not often as not that healthy).
It is hard thinking of new things, my girls are quite adventurous but I reckon my meals rotates about every three weeks or so.
I don't cook for DH at the mo, his workplace provides his meal as he's on late hours so I do end up cooking more child friendly stuff, DH and I love my stir-fry but the girls tend to waste lots - and I can't stand wasted food so they're off the menu for a while :sad2:
Chicken kebabs and roasted veg is another fav in my house.
Tonight we were out and as we all had a big meal at lunchtime (it's roast day at school) we just had jacket pots with tuna, sweetcorn mayo and salad.

I really love fish and cook salmon fillets very simply in the oven (Aga) covered with slices of lemon and served with pesto salad and green beans - it's my absolute favourite at the mo. Pan-fried tuna with homemade coriander and chilli butter is fab, as is my easy crab and chilli vodka linguine... Pork loin steaks, cooked in the oven, spread with mustard and sprinkled with brown sugar - delicious. A layer of potatoes underneath the roasting rack absorb the yummy caramelised sweet juices - it's a big fave with my family... Oh and chicken breasts in white wine, lime and Boursin sauce served with rice... What can I say, I like to cook!

I love a good Sunday roast with trimmings.
Also Spag bol,Bangers and Mash and onion gravy is another too.

im not into cooking much but my favourite sandwich is raspberry jam with chedar cheese yummmmm

I love roasts with all the trimmings. When i'm working longer hours at work I tend to make a pasta dish for my lunch.

Tuna pasta bake is easy & quick. Mix some tuna with mayonnaise & sweetcorn add the pasta top it off with some cheese & bake in the oven for about 5 minutes:thumbsup2

Oh my,i never thought i would ever find someone else who likes this  .I love cheddar cheese+strawberry jam sandwiches.x.

I absolutley adore cooking home made fresh food.Shepherds pie,Spag Bol,Fajitas,Lasagne,Curries,steak,mushroom+onion puddings,Chicken,mushroom+onion pie,different pasta sauces.I make all sauces from scratch in batches+freeze them.Love good old sausages,mash,veg+onion gravy :thumbsup2 .I also love to bake,apple crumbles,chocolate brownies,coconut+jam sponge.
2 nights a week Dd7 has after school clubs,so we have something quick and easy-a treat(as i am not one for cooking chips, processed foods  )-hot dogs+chips, burgers+wedges, pizza+garlic bread etc.x.

My favourite is a leg of lamb with all the extras

I love all food.

Some of my favourites are risotto (did a butternut squash and thyme one this week which was yummy), curries, cottage pie with cheese crumble topping, stews and practically all puddings (I lurvve the puddings).

There isn't much I don't like but I hate celery and have never bought it - I just substitute it in any recipes.

Also love, love, love Sunday lunches now - wasn't too bothered before but now Kev cooks a gorgeous lunch most Sundays so it is extra delicious.

Some of our favourites are Spag Bol (made with pasta bows though as DH doesn't like spaghetti :confused3 ). I like to call it Spaghetti Bola-bows although DD tells me it's correct title should be Bows Bolognese - we have some incredibly mature and deep conversations in our house :rotfl:

I also absolutely love Toad in the Hole with crispy roast potatoes - yum!

The kids' favourite (which I think is disgusting) is plain boiled pasta with a yucky sauce made from ketchup and Worcestershire Sauce and cheese sprinkled on the top

Without a doubt, though, my favourite is a roast dinner - meat and roast potatoes are two of my absolute favourite foods :thumbsup2

i have to say our favourite meal has to be the sunday roast but for a snack the kids love chicken salad in pitta bread

Faves at the moment, chicken fajitas, chicken salad pittas, grilled fish ie salmon, seabass or trout with salad and new potatoes, king prawns and scallops wrapped in pancetta, home made spinach soup (having that tonight Mmmm! ) grilled chicken with pasta and a sauce made with onions, mushrooms, shallots garlic and creme fraiche, roast dinner, spag bog, home made burgers either beef or turkey,

as you can see i love to cook too but have to keep it quite healthy due to Weight watchers.

looking forward to seeing new ideas

Alex

I have to agree that you can't beat a lovely roast dinner. :goodvibes

I cook but wouldn't go as far as saying that I love to cook! I just get on with it as we need to eat! :lmao: My usual dishes include Spag Bol. Chilli. Roast. Chops. Jacket pots & salad. Pasta, cheese & bacon bake. Steak Pie. Cottage pie. Toad in the hole. Cod fillets with homemade chips.....and my DH cooks a wicked steak! :goodvibes

Not very adventurous as we don't like curries or really spicy food, so I get really bored of eating the same meals over and over.:sad2:
