What's your favourite beaver tail topping?

After eating two cinnamon beaver tails this weekend my BF suggested that I might be getting set in my ways and it's time to try something new. I'm going back to WDW in October and I'm determined to be more adventurous (pastry-wise)

Does anyone have any beaver tail topping suggestions?

Ummm what exactly is a beaver tail ? I thought it was a sort of iced treat almost like ice cream?

It's actually a flat, oval shaped piece of fried dough. It's very unhealthy but very yummy . They sell it at the canadian section at epcot.

THANK YOU so much for helping me remember where I had tasted that before! My sons and I got a beaver tail last week wtih the cinnamon sugar -- loved it. THen later in the week we tried the chocolate / hazelnut. The server was trying to spread it from this metal vat thing -- it didn't want to spread, probably not hot enough or had been overheated. In any case, I thought as I ate it, Dadgummit, this is SOOOOO familiar. The vat had no label, though. to clue me in. How could I have not recalled Nutella? You have saved my sanity.

In any case -- I didn't get to try the strawberry/whipped cream version, but I know already from looking at someone else's it would be my favorite. Piled high and looking ever so tasty! The nutella tail wasn't as good, to us anyway, as the cinnamon. I would like to try the chocolate / maple but they were out...

I'm always happy to help save one's sanity.

The chocolate maple is good, but the one time I had it, it was too much topping. First the maple, then the chocolate spread onto that. It was heavy and soggy. Good flavor but ready to make you sick after a few bites. Maybe ask for a lighter spread of each if I get another.

I hate to even think of Beaver Tails (see weight loss in signature!) but the only way I eat them is the Killaloe Sunrise....the cinammon sugar with a squirt of lemon juice. LOVE them!!

Chocolate hazelnut is really good. When DH and I first started buying beavertails, we would get one each one. Now we just get one to share.

We call them elephant ears and we love the cinnamon sugar!
