York (look kind of lopsided but are *great* keepers)
Melrose (I have made the BEST apple pies EVER with these)
Stayman Winesap (like the Grimes', this is an older apple from the 19th century)
Grimes' Golden (You think you like Golden Delicious? Well, try these instead, better and more flavorful in my opinion. First discovered in the early 1800s, and is one of the parents of the modern Golden Delicious)
Early Transparent (makes great applesauce)
Then there's Summer Rambo, Russet (or Golden Russet), Russian (or Siberian) Crabapples...
And I know this is for our favorites, but can I just say say?.... I really can't stand Red Delicious apples.
