What's your favorite studio at WDW?

We usually stay in studios and have stayed in all except for AKV Kidani, VGF and the Value AKV villas. My favorite DVC studio are AKV Concierge, the Poly and BWV Boardwalk View.
I would rank the studios:

AKV Concierge - Same as Sav View (see below) except Pros: Breakfast, drinks, snacks and dessert included, daily maid and turndown service. Cons: View can be of Sav or Pool, only 5 2-bedroom lock offs available making it the hardest room type to get in all of DVC.
PVB - Pros: Proximity, murphy bed, 2 (!) bathrooms, big, Lake View is awesome! Cons: expensive.
BWV Boardwalk View - Pros: Proximity, some day beds, nice size, usual bathroom area, VIEW! Cons: no coffee table.

BCV - Pros: Proximity, nice size, usual bathroom area, STORMALONG BAY access. Cons: view varies greatly, no day beds or murphy beds.
BWV Standard View - Same as Boardwalk View. Cons: The view can be very bad, trees can block everything, can get a very loud room over DME luggage. Pros: The PRICE makes up for most of it.
AKV Savannah View Jambo - ANIMALS outside your balcony, standard size room. Cons: Really far away from most parks, feels isolated (pro for us), small bathroom, dark furnishings and dim lighting
BWV Preferred View - Same as Boardwalk View , but same price for view that varies widely.
VWL - Pros: nice size, usual bathroom area, murphy bed. Cons: Not as close to parks as some resorts, views are boring in general (IMO) and some are very bad.
SSR - Pros: nice size, regular size bathrooms, less expensive. Cons: Not close to anything, quiet (can be pro), spread out resort ... new booking categories make better.
AKV Standard View Jambo - Same as Sav View, except Pool view or sub-standard sav view for LOWER PRICE
BLT - Pros: Proximity, can walk to MK, some lake views can actually see the MK. Cons: SUPER SMALL, strange shape
OKW - Pros: biggest studio, quiet resort, bigger bathroom. Cons: Not close to anything, quiet (can be pro), 2 queen beds (can be pro)
AKV Value View - Have not stayed, but smaller than other AKV studios and VERY CHEAP!
VGF - Have not stayed, really want to. Loved the 1BR we stayed in.
AKV Kidani - Have not stayed, we always end up at Jambo House.

BWV Boardwalk View - Pros: Proximity, some day beds, nice size, usual bathroom area, VIEW! Cons: no coffee table

If staying in a situation where folding out the sofa is required, The "no coffee table" is something of a pro. No need to find a place for the coffee table!

BWV recently renovated and all studios now have the flip down TV trundle bed where only sone studios used to have a day bed (bench thing that's gone now). They also might now have a coffee table...but I can't remember...let me see if I have room photos from our Aug trip. (not my pic but one from googling):

-
I will number these for us personally by importance when buying in red, vs. importance now in blue
-proximity to parks 3 3
-size of living space 5 2
-murphy bed for the 4 yo Would have been a 2 as we had 2 small kids in tow, boy and girl, so would have saved not having to carry a blowup mattress 5 Now
-bathroom setup 4 4
-cost (points) 1 1

I will list studios in order of which we like and why
1. VWL, our 1st exp. with DVC, love the boats, close proximity to MK, FW and Monorail resorts, this affords you lots of restaurant choices within a boat ride, maybe a monorail ride too. Love they layout of the studio here too.
2. AKL, love the extra little bath area
3. BWV, the proximity to 2 parks plus all the amenities around the water, layout of room similar to VWL
4. SSR, though DTD never was a draw for me, DS on the other hand is doing some good things to make it worth the short boat ride or walk, layout of room similar to VWL
5. OKW, I cant get past the room feeling like a hotel room, no sofa, etc. But dont get me wrong, the 1 bed and 2 bed, WOW!! Love OKW, just not the studios

As for all other resorts, never stayed in a studio. We have stayed at BLT 1 beds and love the place

Here is TV trundle:

I think the lack of a sofa in OKW studios negates their charm. It is more like a hotel room.

That really depends upon the demographics of your traveling party. Traveling with friends, it is great to have real beds.

I'm going to vote AKL because of the variety. You can get a small value for as few as 9 points or fancy concierge option (if you can get the reservation) or a savannah view - even the standard view gives you a shot at an animal view.

Oh, and great pool, great activity options for kids (animal viewing, great CM interaction, etc.). Far from the parks but with the new stuff coming to AK that shouldn't be as big an issue.

Who cares about charm when you are thinking about sleep? OKW is the only studio we like. But, you also have mostly no elevators at OKW. So if you have small children, you will be lugging the stroller and all the stuff up the stairs.

Question, since the renovation, where does that white cabinet go when there is a door connecting the studio to a one bedroom? That is where the old deacon's bench daybed used to be in the dedicated studios. They didn't have them in the lockoff studio.

It's in the same spot. Here are pictures from a lock-off:

Oh, yeah. The table and chairs were at the door space in the dedicated. Now, no table and chairs. Except for that freaky table/bed combination.

For the same reason (no elevators) my MIL and FIL no longer like OKW for them either. They stayed there like 4 times and had first floor (as request) the first 3 times but that one time you don't get it
