We are planning our first trip to the FORT next May, as soon as school is out. We have been to WDW 7 or 8 times in the past but have never had the priviledge of staying at FW. We have a Dodge deisel 3500 and a Jayco Eagle
5er. We will be bringing our 2 grandchildren ages 11 and 6. Would like to be near a comfort station but like a little privacy. Would appreciate hearing suggestions. Thanks.

My favorite site is the one that I am in at the moment, on any given trip.
I would rather be at The Fort than just about anywhere else.
In all honesty, no matter what site you are in you are never very far from a comfort station.

That post was so nice, you had to post it twice. :lmao:

OP, if you look at this map:

http://www.wdwinfo.com/maps/FWMap.pdf

There appears to be a comfort station on almost every single camping loop. Be sure to look for other things that might make one loop more interesting than another, like the location of the bus stop or if there is a canal near your site, pet-friendly loops, etc, etc.

Welcome,
We look at the map and see what's important to us and then request a loop. It's not guaranteed. They won't take requests for specific sites . Have a great trip !

We've stayed at the Fort many times and comfort stations are always nearby. We've never had a bad sight. :goodvibes I would agree with dudelydude about looking at a map. You can request a loop but they won't guarantee it, and you'll be limited to what you reserve (ie. Full hook-up, preferred, premium, etc).

Also if you need a pet loop, have that notated on your reservation.

Have great time. The fort is awesome!!!:thumbsup2

Travelling with pets I would have to say site 542 is the best one that we have had so far. Easy to back in and out of, large open space behind us and easy access to the dog park and the bathhouse.

You can, of course, request to be placed near a comfort station. Don't worry about specific sites otherwise.

Thanks guys!!! My husband and I are studying the maps. I think we will try for a site where we can also pitch a tent since my 2 daughters and son in law want to tag a long (lol). The dog (an old chocolate lab) wont me making the trip, so no need for a pet loop. Would like to be near the bus stop, but since we have a pool at home being close to the pool is not a priority. I don't like the thoughts of being near the canal, just too green and slimey for me. Will let you know what we decide and our dates a little later. Again, THANKS.
