What's your favorite quote?

Jimmy crack corn and I don't care. My family says they are going to put it on my tombstone. Sorry couldn't think of a serious one.

I always liked "What you do in life echos in eternity."-- Russel Crowe's character in Gladiator.

Did I just quote Russel Crowe?! :scared1:

I think my favorite is from my wife, Lady M/Marie, it is in my signature below.

Forget your lust for the rich mans gold. All that you need is in your soul.

Do or do not, there is no try - Yoda

or

Lets all remember one thing, it all started with a mouse - Walt

"My wish for you is that happiness pursues you, and also catches you often"

If you want to hear god laugh, tell him your plans - from the song Help Somebody by Van Zant

"yesterday is history, tomorrow a mystery, today is a gift, that's why they call it the present." ( I have heard variations on this quote)

"life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the number of moments that take our breath away"

"happiness is like a butterfly: the more you chase it, the more it will elude you, but if you turn your attention to other things, it will come and sit softly on your shoulder" (Thereau)

These are three of my all time favs. :sunny:

"Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds."

PAW - I really like this quote. Thanks for posting it. I know someone who needs to see wise words like this right now. :thumbsup2

My favorite quote (at the moment) is....

Work like you don't need the money.
Love as if you've never been hurt.
Sing like no one can hear you.
Dance as if no one can see. :teeth:
Live for the moment,
And let that moment take your breath away!

You know, I've seen that quote before and I've never understood the first line. If I worked like I didn't need the money I'd be fired for spending the day sitting on my butt. :rotfl2:

"I am not afraid of storms for I am learning how to sail my ship." -Louisa May Alcott

and

"Time is short baby, it betrays us as we betray eachother." -Tennessee Williams

Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened. - Ted Geisel (Dr. Seuss)

and my newest fave:

Always know where your jar of dirt is. ;)

Here are several I like;

1. What goes around, comes around.
2. Every dog has its day but a good dog has two.
3. No matter how thin you slice it, its still baloney. :rotfl2: I like this one.
4. Hell hath no fury as a woman scorned.

" Who can say if I've been changed for the better, but--because I knew you, I have been changed for good" from the Broadway show 'Wicked'

“Risk more than others think is safe. Care more than others think is wise. Dream more then others think is practical.” (Anton Chekhow)

"If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day, So that I'll never have to live without you"
-Winnie the Pooh

"You know that place between asleep and awake? Where you still remember dreaming? That's where I will always think of you."
-Tinkerbelle

How's that?

Most of the stuff people worry about ain't never gonna happen anyway.

Be daring, be different, be impractical; be anything that will assert integrity of purpose and imaginative vision against the play-it-safers." -- Cecil Beaton

Pleasure--receiving it, giving it, feeling it, hearing it, seeing it, and, occasionally, even pouring it over your ice cream (in the form of gooey butterscotch caramel sauce)--is what being fully alive and well is all about.

We never make mistakes, we just have learning experiences.

Time isn't the enemy. Fear of change is. Accept that nothing lasts forever and you'll start to appreciate the advantages of whatever age you are now.

"The person who has lived the most is not the one with the most years but the one with the richest experiences." -- Jean-Jacques Rousseau

My kids will never remember material things, but will always remember our family vacations.
