What's your favorite movie you think most people haven't seen?

"Tombstone" (see totally awesome picture in siggy) with Val Kilmer :lovestruc he is sooo awesome in this movie!! I have met one person out side of my family who has seen it. It has been my favorite movie since I was like...7!! I always cry at the end, I can't help it!!

"I'll be your huckleberry"

I was also going to mention Buckaroo Banzai, but it's pretty quirky; most of the people I have recommended it to haven'tliked it. It is a good place to see some real stars at the beginning of their carreers, Peter Weller, Jeff Goldblum, John Lithgow, Ellen Barkin, Christopher Loyd, Clancy Brown.

And a girl named John.

"Does this mean we're not friends anymore? Because if I thought we weren't friends anymore, I just don't think I could bear it!"

My favorite "unknown" movie is "Scorchers". It starred Faye Dunaway, James Earl Jones and Kirstie Alley's Ex - boyfriend. The movie is set in Louisiana and is about a prostitute, a newlywed and a woman whose husband is cheating on her. It rocks.

I can't believe anyone else has seen this movie. My brother and I probably watched that movie a hundred times when we were teenagers. Christopher Walken is awesome in that movie. It is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. The old mexican man is great. I can't believe someone else loves it as much as we do.

Army of Darkness is also hilarious. Have you seen the Evil Dead movies that come before it?

I love a Room with a View. You guys have awesome taste in movies.

Christine

I love "Local Hero", "A Walk on the Moon", "Avalon", "Empire of the Sun", "Hope & Glory", "The Wedding Banquet".

Circle of Friends with Minnie Driver, Chris O'Donnell and a wonderfully sleazy Alan Cumming.

My Brilliant Career with Judy Davis (I believe it was one of her first films) and Sam Neill

Some of my all time favorite "unknowns"...

The Great Race w/Jack Lemmon & Tony Curtis - this is a family favorite!

It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World - multiple star cast

What's Up Doc? - Barbara Streisand & Ryan O'Neal

Duct Tape Forever - from the Red Green show

Porkys

"Somewhere in Time" Jane Seymore and Christopher Reeves
"Paper Moon" Ryan O'Neal and Tatum O'Neal
"The Jerk" Steve Martin

Disney's The Kid
Nothing to Lose

And I'm sure you've seen this one but. . .

What About Bob:hyper:

I have other favs, but I tried to think of ones that everyone probably hadn't seen

Another really funny one- albeit somewhat obscure was Crazy People with Dudley Moore where he's the ad exec who has a mental breakdown and wants to tell the truth in his ad campaigns-
Jaguar... for men who want Hand J*bs from strange women they barely know.
Volvo- boxy but good.

HERO starring Dustin Hoffman, Geena Davis and Andy Garcia

I really really recommend this movie!!!!!

everytime someone comes to my house they borrow my VHS tape and rave about it.

also like LadyHawke with Matthew Broderick

Oh how could I have forgotten Amelie and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind! Those are AMAZING flicks! I loved them!!!!

Another vote for Tombstone and Waking Ned Divine.

The Matchmaker...has a little of that quirky Irish humor that Waking Ned Divine has....love the tanning bed part!!!

I've seen most of these movies.

Has anyone ever seen Lawn Dogs?
