Whats YOUR favorite Moderate Disney Resort?

Well, we have stayed at both POR and CBR, and there are things that we loved about both. They are both so nice. POR has beautiful grounds and a great boat ride to DTD. CBR is also beautiful and relaxing. Sorry-not much help, can't decide!

So far we've only stayed at CSR. I can tell you that it is a lovely resort. We really enjoyed the PM, the Dig Site, Maya Grill, and the busses were the best! The resort has such beautiful landscaping and is situated on a beautiful lake, it's really pretty both day and night.

Hi there

POFQ was great

Small, great pool, good transportation, nice rooms and good location

:thumbsup2

POR was insanely wonderful!:)

The difference between the parks and POR is like night and day. The resort is quiet, peaceful, gorgeous and HUGE!:)

No bus issues, although they did generally stop at POFQ before POR, which sometimes made the busses crowded, but nothing I'd worry about.

I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.:thumbsup2

CSR with out a doubt. Everything is wonderful everytime we stay there!!!!!!!!!!!

CSR -- because it's more like a deluxe than the others. It has room service, a workout room, good food, golf carts to carry you to your room or the pool, etc.

We've stayed about both CBR and POR, and CBR wins hands down. CBR has beautiful tropical themeing, white sandy beaches with hammocks, and friendly ducks. The rooms are large (340 sq ft) with two double sinks and storage. There are seven quiet pools along with the main pool. We like the variety at the main food court, and we have always had good bus service. CBR was the first resort we stayed at and my daughters fell in love. When we think of Disney, we think of CBR.

port orleans french quarter is great!!! it has a great pool, there's a boat that takes you to downtown disney, the food court and gift shops are great, and bus transportations are also very good!! going there in august!

We've only stayed at 2 - CBR and POFQ. POFQ was a hands down winner for us. CBR is definitely a beautiful resort as far as the theme but the large size was overwhelming for us and the food court (back in 2001 anyways) seemed inadequate for the number of guests there (that may have changed since then). We stood last Aug. at POFQ and loved the small size and the ability to get anywhere in the resort in a matter of minutes. The resort was beautiful, the rooms a nice size, the food court good (loved the beignets! ) and the transportation was great (also loved the boat to DTD!). We'll be there again this Aug - can hardly wait!!!:woohoo:

me tooo!!! yumm! my family and i are heading down in august too and staying at POFQ!

I have stayed at them all and....CBR is my favorit by far!

Bigger rooms, lots of pools, hammocks on the beach and IMHO the standard view is a lot less likely to be the "parking lot" CBR was the first mod and I think Disney got cheap after that.

(And if you have ever had REAL beignets in New Orleans, you will be VERY disappointed by that fired dough POFQ is trying to pass off!)

Only stayed at a few moderates, but POFQ was nice due to the size of the grounds. Everything is close by. The grounds and theme is pretty and relaxing. There weren't people everywhere like at all stars. The rooms weren't as themed as I would like though. I think a Mardi Gras theme decor would be fun for the kids. As long as they didn't put in a bunch of scary clown guys.

i've had both and they both seem very good! but the new orleans ones are the real deal (:

POFQ.

Theming
Landscaping
Quiet
Small resort
Great transportation
Nice food court
Cool pool

We've stayed at all of the mods, except POFQ and I'll have to say POR is our favorite. We usually stay deluxe now, but if I had to go moderate it would be my choice.

Aside from the wonderful Southern theming (spoken like a true Southerner) we like the boat launch to DTD, Piano Bob, the grounds, the CM's. Oh, and Boatwrights has great breakfast. To us, POR has the Disney magic.

CSR is my favorite. I like the location, the pool, the transportation and the theme!! Plus it has a spa for massages and room service with a full menu.

is POFQ. Small, close to everythng, food court is great.
Aclose second would CBR. I love the theming and the total relaxation of the tropical feel. Bussing at both hotels has been very good in my experiences.
