A friendly poll for y'all!

Which storefront ice cream is your favorite?

I'm a HUGE fan of Dairy Queen. Their soft serve is the best!

Local mom and pop

made fresh in the back

great soft serve

Going local, I LOVE Rita's. Their gelati's are delish! Great soft serve too!

I love Baskin-Robbins especially their rocky road and kahlua mudslide. Unfortunately the last remaining one here closed down!

Locally, definitely Strickland's - Their strickacinno is the best!

I love Rita's, but it's not too close to me. It's right by my in-laws house -- about 20 minutes from me.

Closer by we have a place owned by a local couple. They've been there for over 10 years now. they have great ice cream, plus cakes and coffee too.

Baskin Robbins! Mmmm! My fav is Jamoca Almond Fudge! Okay, now I'm hungry!:p

Haggen Daaz for me. Chocolate/peanutbutter ! Yummy!

Your girls are absolutely beautiful!!!

There's a local place that's owned by two girls that I went to High School with that's pretty good. They make everything from scratch in the back. But, my absolute favorite isn't ice cream, it's frozen custard. It's a very popular place in St. Louis called Ted Drewes. Unfortunately, I don't get to go very often because it's not close to where we live. We have an Oberwise close by, but haven't tried it yet.

Another fan of a local mom and pop shop. it is the most wonderful soft serve! :p

My all time favorite is a place near here that makes all their ice cream, called Plush Horse.

I also love this little place near my old house called Ranch Frosties. The man who owned it was the best, sadly he died last year. I swear I feel his presence when I go there now. Last summer I would drive by it on my way home (we did live right across the street) and I know I saw him there. He died from falling off a ladder while he was changing lights around the building, I think of him every time I see someone at work up a ladder. Rest in peace Harold.
