All this talk of camping and hotels has me curious. What's your favorite hotel?

I love a good hotel :)

Mine are the St. Regis New York and the Ciragan Palace Instanbul.

I'll never turn down a St. Regis, but the one in New York is just lovely. I'm always dreaming of my next stay at that hotel.

The Ciragan Palace is just amazing and I could float in their infinity pool that overlooks the Bosporus for eternity.

I love, love, love The Plaza in NYC.

I stay down the NJ shore at Wildwood Crest and Cape May a lot. There are a lot of pretty bed-and-breakfast Victorian Houses in Cape May that are wonderful for the winter time.

Current favorites - Ritz-Carlton Maui, Loews Santa Monica

Future favorite - St. Regis Kauai (bucket list hotel)

Favorite of all time - The Arch Hotel, London.

Great NYC hotel -- Sofitel midtown

Wonderful domestic chain nationwide - Westin

The Grand Hotel at the Grand Canyon, AZ.
The Carousel Hotel at Ocean City, MD.
The Shangri-la Hotel at Toronto, ONT.

In Disney it would be the Caribbean Beach Resort.

As far as the actual room, the Mandalay Bay in Vegas. We got a suite and it was beautiful.

I love the Atlantis resort for all of the amenities. The Hyatt in Maui is also one of my favorites.

I really like the Embassy Suites. The inside is very pretty, the rooms are nice, and I like their breakfast.

I haven't traveled much, I think the nicest place I have stayed is the Casa Pairal in Collioure, France. We were in southern France for a wedding. We tend to look for adequate, inexpensive hotels when traveling. I think my favorite places to stay are in Orlando - the Royal Polynesian at Universal and the Beach Club at Disney World.

The nicest hotels I have stayed at was The Bali Intercontinental where I stayed on my honeymoon. It was heaven. More recently, I will have to say Aulani.

I haven't stayed in many expensive hotels. We usually stay in Hampton Inn type places.

The best place I ever stayed was a house we rented in Bali, Villa Bukit Naga. OMG. It was incredible. I'd go back there in a heart beat.

And, talk about staff to guest ratio. There were 12 full time staff to 10 guests (4 of which were children).

The Four Seasons in Houston
( Mainly because Paul McCartney stayed there on the same night- after his concert we attended)

the Grand Marriott in Point Clear Alabama is a wonderful resort - stayed several times
Once we got the most amazing upgrade....a full living room with French Provential furniture and a dining table that seated 8..with a chandelier.. The bedroom was in a nook off this grand living dining area

Jekyll Island Club on Jekyll Island, Georgia. The island was a private island used by the hoity folks for a winter hunting type place up til WWII. They started with the Club Hotel and then started building "cottages'. Now the state of Georgia owns the island, Club was left to ruin for awhile but was completely renovated and is beautiful. It was used for certain shots in Bagger Vance. I love the place.

I loved staying at the Peabody in Orlando, with the ducks in the fountain lobby. Now it is a Hyatt and the ducks are gone. It's still a nice hotel, but it's not the same.

The one I remember most fondly is a little boutique place in San Juan called At Windchimes. It was lovely and part of a very special occasion for us. The most $$$ hotel I've ever stayed at is AKL and objectively speaking, it was nowhere near worth what we paid.

The Fairmont Kea Lani in Maui...I like it even more than the neighboring Four Seasons :)

I like high up, great view and in the center of it all, which ever hotel is doing that, I like it

Atlantis in the Bahamas had the most beautiful view I have ever seen. As far as a gorgeous hotel room goes, I would say Caeser's Palace in Vegas and it had an awesome view
