What's your favorite handbag/purse?

I have a love affair with Vera Bradley lately. I want them all :lmao:

Currently though I am carrying a really cute brown leather one I got from Steinmart after Christmas last year. It is nice and big but light as a feather. It is a Fossil brand.

Today I bought a winter white colored Guess purse from Goodwill for $5. It is big and after taking a damp cloth to it, it looks brand new.

I used to be a Gucci girl. Before that, it was Louis Vuitton. Now, with the recession (stupid recession!), I can't bring myself to pay that kind of money for a bag. Sooo, I'm now the proud owner of a Coach tote. I got the op art glam in tan and looove it so much! I'm a new Coach fanatic.

I'm not a fan of bags with letters and logos. It's just not my thing.

I'm currently carrying the Lucky Stash bag. I love it. It's a comfortable bag. I actually have this super cute pink Fossil wallet, and that thing has held up. I'm hard on a wallet, and they usually tear up pretty quickly, but this thing has gone strong for awhile.

To the LeSportSac girl.... I love them, too. I have a large weekender and I get loads of compliments.

I refuse to buy a bag that cost more than a few hundred bucks. Most women I know who carry the real expensive ones, can't really afford them. The few women I know who really can afford them, usually opt for the hot designer of the season.

I often wonder if I'd spend that much if I could.

I have 3 Coach's. 2 were from the outlet, one original Coach. One of the outlet one's is a large satchel type bag. It's green. It was called a Hamilton. I get tons of compliments on this one. The next 2 are backpacks. One is striped cotton twill from this summer. The other is black leather with white contrast stitching. I like the looks of the Makowsky's and Tignanello's too.

Me too! Right now I'm really wanting that one made of all the different colored little leather squares.

I have about 7 and they're all I carry anymore. I just got a Lucky wallet too.

My sister has that purse (Ebay) and :cloud9: it!

i got 4 of my mom's coach bags and one louie when she passed away. i can't bear to part with them, but i won't use them.

i only have 2 purses (i would love more but my wallet would not appreciate it)

My designer purse is a michael kors....i got it for $197 at the outlet....originally $400
My other purse is an inexpensive black purse from target....i use it for school because my bags are always on the classroom floors, the grass, etc. so i don't want to ruin my michael kors bag

i stopped realy using a purse years ago because for me i don't schlep around that much that i realy saw the use in one. i have a couple that i've hung on to because they are ideal for travel (when i am carrying more like the passports and the airline tickets and such), and 2 'cocktail' purses that can literaly hang like an accessory from my shoulder if i have to carry something into a dressy situation (like my car keys, some cash).

so i'm curious-what are the 'must haves' that necessitate you carrying a full blown purse on a daily basis?

I am the same way. If I even carry a purse its a Vera Bradley mini hipster for my keys, cell phone and cards.

Gosh, my needs change so much and so often, I have a closet full of bags. Right now, since I am with the baby most days, I am loving my Ju Ju Be diaper bags. http://www.ju-ju-be.com/

For going out on the town, my go to bag is my Francesco Biasia that we bought in Florence.

I have a couple of Coach bags, a couple VB, a Kate Spade and some Bagolitas that are so fun!

I am carrying a purse by Tignanello (sp) that I just got at TJ MAXX for $90. I've been shopping for MONTHS and couldn't find the pefect black purse until I found this one.

The leather is very soft, it can be worn on the shoulder or just over the arm (the strap is big enough), it has a divider in the middle of the inside and plenty of compartments so that all my stuff is not one jumbled mess at the bottom. The lining is a light color so it's not like a black hole.

I have one Coach bag that I absolutely hate that I was replacing. It looks nice but just doesn't hold my stuff well. I was looking at more Coach purses but I just couldn't find the perfect one. While I liked the looks on the outside, the inside of the purse was not "functional" enough for me. I also like L.A.M.B purses but the size I needed was $$$$$$$$$.

Next time I need another purse, I am going to seek out the Tignanello brand.

I saw these last night on qvc when I couldn't sleep. They were very cute! And the colors are what grabbed me. I may have to defect from Coach.

I got an all black purse at a gift shop in the Contemporary last summer, it has little mickey heads all over it. I :lovestruc it!

I have that one too! I got it at Port Orleans gift shop, I love it!

I love handbags. The best deal you can get on a really nice upscale bag is to shop at a Coach outlet. They have markdowns, sales, % off all the time. I love, love, love nice leather- and Coach leather is dreamy. I would much rather have a nice leather bag than a higher end designer bag that is vinyl. How do they get away with charging so much for plastic? My friend bought a LV tote/satchel for around $600 and it was plastic! I guess the trim was leather, but if I'm going to buy plastic, I may pay $30 tops.

Here's what I'm alternating between.

I limit myself to and my budget is 300-500 Euros. This years bag is a gorgeous black leather Giorgio Armani bag, that I got on a one day only sale at Armani in Frankfurt. I love it and have gotten alot of compliments on it. Last years bag was a LV 100% leather bag. I alternate my bags everyday. I am partial to Italian bags and my absolute favorite brand is Furla. I will not buy any bags or shoes made in China, as it is just poorly constructed overpriced goods. I am blessed that I live in Europe where the cost of these goods is much less than if I bought it at Neiman Marcus or Saks.

This plus I often carry a diaper, wet wipes and snack for our youngest. I no longer need a big diaper bag, but need enough space just for the above.
