What's your favorite handbag/purse?

I have found some nice purses at Target but I'm *really* partial to Tommy Hilfiger and have found some nice purses (and a GREAT wallet) at the outlet near us.

Actually, my DD bought the wallet for me and I liked it so much I went back and bought another one for when this one wears out. I never used to have a wallet and this thing...is just dreamy. I can see what cards I have at a glance, there's a zipper pocket for change and it's black so I just take it out and put it in whatever purse I might be carrying. (But I only have about three or four and one of those is a cheap fanny-pack for WDW.)

If you have a Nordstroms near you, they have semi-annual sales (actually going on right now) and they may include the Harvey bags, but I don't know if they do. Worth giving a look!

I'm not a fan of bags with letters and logos. It's just not my thing.

I refuse to buy a bag that cost more than a few hundred bucks. Most women I know who carry the real expensive ones, can't really afford them. The few women I know who really can afford them, usually opt for the hot designer of the season.
I often wonder if I'd spend that much if I could.

some women don't like logo bags and some do...I love a lot of non-log brands but have always loved LV bags since I was 19 (I am 43)...affording them is all about what is important to that person. I work hard to earn my money and I choose to spend it on designer bags...which is my love...and travel a lot of people can afford them but choose not to spend that amount of money on something like that. We all have our tastes.

i stopped realy using a purse years ago because for me i don't schlep around that much that i realy saw the use in one. i have a couple that i've hung on to because they are ideal for travel (when i am carrying more like the passports and the airline tickets and such), and 2 'cocktail' purses that can literaly hang like an accessory from my shoulder if i have to carry something into a dressy situation (like my car keys, some cash).

so i'm curious-what are the 'must haves' that necessitate you carrying a full blown purse on a daily basis?

I carry large purses for the style. I actually carry very little inside....wallet, cell, camera, keys, hand sanitizer and sunglasses. This would all fit in a smaller bag...I just choose to carry the bigger ones...I think they look better on me

As mentioned I LOVE Furla..I have 3. My blk one from Venice is the fave..always. Have maybe 10 Coach bags..like them also, except a few. I have the LV Alma and HATE it. I hate LV. Waaay too many knock offs out there, cannot tell what is real and what isn't. DD has a Chanel that I love-and love to borrow! LOL...also have a few year old Dior bag..quilted..pretty conservative so I guess still fine to use.

It only matters that you know your bag is real....and the other LV lovers out there can spot fakes pretty easily. I am happy knowing that my bag is real and don't care if anyone else's is or not.

My dream is to have a huge walk-in closet where I can keep all my bags lined up for ease of switching, and for the ahhhhhhh factor (I'm obsessed, what can I say.)

I don't have an "everyday" handbag because I change bags on how I dress and feel that day, but here are my favorites:

My soft-leather baby blue Isaac Mizrahi satchel. I don't use it much in winter, unless it's snowing. The color reminds me of spring, but when it's snowing, the color reminds me of the blue hue that you sometimes see on a snowy night. By the way, Isaac Mizrahi sells some of his designs out of Target now, for < $50.

I love my Coach amethyst-silver tote (13836). It's patent, shiny, and deep-colored. I have to be careful not to scratch it (even tho Coach does free repairs).

My Kate Spade weave is a favorite because I found it in a thrift store for something like $5! And in great condition, someone might not have known what they were getting rid of.

Back to Coach, does anyone think Coach has run it's course? I haven't seen anything really new, and after 5 Coaches, I think I'm done with them.

To the previous poster, no I don't think Coach has run their course. THey have some BEAUTIFUL new bags out. Claire is gorgeous! (IMHO)

I carry the Coach Madison Sabrina in Brown leather. It's the perfect size (doesn't look huge but I'm always losing stuff in it!) and just very nice. However, it's a good everyday bag AND nice enough for nighttime. Love it!

I just ordered this one: the Union Square Stevie Tote. I've been looking for a lightweight black bag, and the price was just too good to pass up.

And this comes on the heels of purchasing another handbag on eBay yesterday. That, too, was a bargain too good to pass up.

And did I mention that the bag I'm currently using was just purchased in September....
