Whats your favorite CHRISTMAS tip at WDW?

MVMCP is my favorite...the fireworks are amazing, the snow is amazing and there is no better parade. Everyone is in great spirits during it and...I don't know...its just really happy and uplifting. I loved not waiting in any lines for Splash Mountain...but then again I didn't do this trip ON Christmas...I did it mid December so the crowds weren't too too bad anyway...and ditto on the hotel decorations...absolutely beautiful

I went to the Candlelight Processional again last year and it was just as amazing as the first time.

Check the list of celebs that do the readings; they are all wonderful. Last year we had Edward James Olmos ---- great!

I suggest booking a PS dinner with that. It makes for a great night and you won't have to wait in the line (which can be very long).

The decorations!! I was there right after Christmas in 2003. The Travel Channel had a special show on about Disney World at Christmas, so we watched that and got a lot of ideas for what to see when we went. It was a lot of fun to see all the decorations at all the parks and hotels.

Since I'm a little silly :cool1: - I thought someone else might be too...

I thought the Osborne light thing at MGM was by the crazy Osborne family on MTV...didn't realize that the lights came from a family bearing the same name. I thought that it was weird that Disney paired up with them - apparently that is a DIFFERENT Osborne family. Ahhhh!

As anyone seen booths set up in EPCOT's World Showcase featuring traditional holiday food from different countries? I was watching a travel show that showed a typical Food and Wine type booth in Germany selling holiday favorites from Germany. I have walked around the "world" during the Holidays and never noticed these (not much food goes unnoticed by me).

I noticed them last night. There was one in Germany, America that I saw between the boat docks. I don't ever remember seeing them before.

We don't arrive until 25th December evening.

Is there anything special going on in the parks Xmas night?

Thanks

Try going the first two weeks in Dec. Holiday decorations but lesser attendance is a better experience. You also get to spend the holiday at home with new disney memories fresh in your mind.

My must dos are the Osborne Lights, the holiday parades and visiting the Disney resorts, most especially Grand Floridian.

We went at Christmas 2003. We went the week BEFORE Christmas, and it's one of the LEAST busy times of the year. As we were leaving on the Saturday before Christmas, it was the first time since we arrived that we had to stand in line for the monorail! The week OF Christmas is traditionally one of the busiest, but the other Christmas activities were going on while we were there, as was the Grand Floridian's tree display.
