We've done the Contempory 4 times. I think it is time to try something new. Any suggestions?

Saw a post about taking the boat to Cape May from MGM.
Can anyone tell me more about that?
Where do I get the boat? We'll have a car - should we drive?

1 month from today!!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

GOsh, it is tough to decide so many choices... but what little girl (or her Mom) would not want to eat inside the castle with Cinderella?

So I will pick that as my favourite...

BUt for fun.. I really liked Donalds Breafastasaurus (sp?) at AK

>>^..^<<

Donald's is our favirte too. I do want to try Goofy's breakfast at Cape May next time. We took the boat from Epcot to MGM last trip. It stops at the Beach Club and the other Epcot area resorts (Swan/Dolphin etc).

The boat dock is to the left of the MGM gate as you exit the park. I suggest taking the boat instead of driving. We never drive once we arrive at WDW.

We stayed at the BC in 2001 and had character breakfast
8 out of 10 mornings. Excellent buffet (always brought
fresh food out), they allow you to order stuff done
special order (my DS only eats the egg whites), their
smoothies are to die for, and the character interaction
is excellent (Chip and Dale, Goofy and Minnie), each
stopped by out table at least twice, hammed it up,
took photos, signed autographs.

The servers at BC are excellent and extremely friendly
and helpful.

The boat goes from the launch outside the MGM gate
to the Yacht Club-a very short walk past Stormalong
Bay to Cape May Cafe. If you have a car, park at the
Beach Club and walk into the lobby, restaurant is to
your right - Don't forget to say hello to Art, the greeter.

Cape May at Beach Club. We went around 9: 45 & the it was wonderful. most people had earlier PS so it was not to crowded the food was great. My son ate his best meal there.

We loved 1900 Park Faire at the Grand Floridian. The characters are different from any that you will see at other character meals, and may include Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, Mad Hatter, Peter Pan, Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger, Bert... The characters really spent a good deal of time with the tables and made each child feel special.

The buffet is huge, varied, and delicious, and those made to order omelettes are the best!

The service is terrific and very attentive.

When we were there, Mary Poppins and Bert were coloring with the kids in the restaurant lobby and Alice, Pooh and Tigger were making the rounds of the tables. It was great fun, and we definitely will be going again!

If you aren't staying at an Epcot resort, your best bet is to take your resort bus to MGM and then catch the boat to the Beach Club.

Have a great time!

Donald's is our favorite breakfast. We'll be trying Goofy's at Cape May next week. I'll post a review after we return. There have been quite a few good posts concerning the Cape May breakfast so we are looking forward to checking it out.

Crystal Palace is our all time favorite breakfast. Great food and the character interaction was wonderful. We go there at least twice during week long vacations. Chef Mickey's is a close second. Do NOT go to H&V in MGM, repeat... do not go to H&V. The food is TERRIBLE!!!!

That's a tough one. I'll start by saying Chef Mickey's is my least favorite.

1900 Park Fare is just wonderful, but can get very crowded. Cape May Cafe is a hidden gem that's very good and much quieter than the others. Restaurantasaurus has the best CM's, great food, and lots of fun. So I guess it comes down to convenience betweent hte two resort's, or if you want something in a theme park.

Donald's is the only one we do on EVERY trip!

don't you have that backwards??? LOL... I wouldn't step into CM's again if it was the only restaurant in WDW. YUCK!!!!!!
Haven't had breakfast at H&V but if it is 1/2 as good as the lunch it has to be great.

FIXINTODIE- Please do me a huge favor!!!

Can you ask if Sammi is still a server at Cape May
breakfast when you have breakfast there? She
has been working there for umpteem years and
was thinking about retiring the last time we were
there.

I'm dying to know (so is DS-she's his favourite
all time server).

Please send an email or PM. Thanks.

Actually the lunch at Hollywood and Vine is FANTASTIC. We haven't had the breakfast there, though. The character interaction at Hollywood and Vine was the BEST... anywhere!!!

Breakfast at H&V was very crowded-long buffet line ups- slow
to bring out food but it was fresh and hot when it came.

The characters do a little dance thing every so often.

But as I recall they did not go to each table-you had to
line up to see them and get autographs etc.

For the most individual character interaction I still prefer Cape May Cafe, less crowded, characters come to your table and take pictures, ham it up sign autographs, a couple of times each breakfast. Food is also plentiful, hot, fresh and you can move around the restaurant easily.
