What's your Easter menu?

I think we're having "picnic" type foods since Easter is so late this year:

grilled ham steak
potato salad
baked beans
devilled eggs

Ham, scalloped potatoes, green beans, Greek salad, applesauce, pickled beets, and apple crisp with creme fraiche for dessert.

Whatever my dcuz and his wife are cooking!:rotfl:
I am bringing a cheescake for dessert.

We're having dinner at my mom's.

She's cooking:
Pork Roast
Augratin Potatoes
Peas
Carrots
cranberry sauce (they grow cranberries for Ocean Spray)
rolls
and a few other veggies

My Cuz is coming and he's cooking Turkey in a Trashcan! :lmao:

And I'm making dessert:

Cut Glass Pie and bunny shaped sugar cookies for the kids.

Glazed Ham w/Pineapple
Hash browns with onions
Green beans with almonds
Popovers
Sweet tea
Deviled Eggs
Coconut Cake

Getting hungry just thinking about it :goodvibes

This year Easter is at my house, my daughter and I are vegetarians, I dont cook much and my DH doesnt care for traditional holiday food. I did poll the people comming (25 in all) and we decided on this...

Spiral ham
Italian beef
BBQ chicken
vegetarian sloppy Joes
Potato salad
Red leaf salad
deviled eggs
cheesy potato casserole
mac and cheese
veggie and cheese tray
blueberry dessert bars
chocolate peanut butter balls
banana split dessert
chips and dip

I think that will cover most taste buds.

We are nit big ham eaters so for us it's

Prime rib
Mashed potatoes
Deviled eggs
Green beans

Lara
Brownies from scratch

Ham
Kielbassi
Sirets
Green Beans
Rosemary Scalloped Potatoes
Pineapple Bread Pudding
Homemade rolls and butter
Nut Roll and Poppy seed Roll

We are doing brunch, so eggs, potatoes, waffles with fruit and whipped cream and I'll be bringing some ham. :) I love a good ham dinner so I think I might make one for us here the night before, then I'll just take leftover ham for brunch the next day. I also think I'll take some dessert to eat later in the afternoon, maybe some lemon bars and strawberry shortcake. :) We are going to see family that live a couple hours away.

Turkey breast
Mashed potatoes
stuffing
asparagus
turnips
corn

Ice cream cake because we all gave up ice cream for Lent.

Yum!This thread is making me hungry. We're having ham, cheesy potatoes, strawberry pretzel salad, green bean cass, and rolls. Probably chocolate PB pie for dessert.

OK I had to ask, what is strawberry pretzel salad?

We're Polish so we do: ham, kielbasa and sauerkraut with caramelized onions, cole slaw, potato salad, macaroni salad, pierogies, vegetable salad, rye bread, deviled eggs, fresh horseradish with beets, babka, poppy seed roll (makowiec) and my mom makes mini cheesecake "Easter Baskets" for dessert. This year I am also making onion pull apart rolls.

Polish by marriage, so along with cooking we will be making our sausage this week and the pierogi. I had to cut back this year though, it gets harder each year, so we are making 20#'s of sausage and probably around 35 dozen pierogi.

Dinner Menu:

Polish sausage (fresh with Marjoram)
Pierogi (farmer cheese, potato cheese, and hot cheese potato)
Pierogi (sauerkraut - purchased at the market)
Caramelized onion for the pierogi
Rye Bread
Butter Lamb
hard boiled eggs
deviled eggs
Horseradish/mustard

Dessert:

Babka
Chrusciki
Kolaches

It yummy. From what I remember it is a pretzel crust and the pie part has strawberries, jello, cream cheese, and cool whip. The salt and crunchy of the pretzel goes great with the rest. Google it and you wil find easy recipes and pics.

There will only be 3 of us this year, but that doesn't mean I can't make too much food!

Ham
Southern Style Green Beans
Baked Sweet Potatoes with toppings
Deviled Eggs
Rolls
Strawberry Short Cake

I might add Mac and Cheese to this after seeing it on so many other menus!

How can live in TN not have mac and cheese on menu. Is there rule that have mac and cheese and collard greens at every family gathering. LOL

I am sorry just showing my southern roots.

How does she make the mini cheesecake Easter baskets?

Thanks,
Maggie

Yea, bad me :lmao:.

Actually, if I make it, it would only be for me. My mom doesn't like Mac and Cheese and my boyfriend is lactose intolerant so... not sure if it is worth the work.

we're going out this year....so
The Columbia....

so 1905 salad, black bean soup and not sure of the entree....! Yum!
