David...funny thing is that while dad is a "David Cassidy" he is not THE David Cassidy. We used to get calls at home all the time asking if David Cassidy was at home, followed by screams when we said yes.
Yep, we had an unlisted number shortly thereafter.
My father in law's name is James(goes by Jim..or Jimmy of you've known him since he was young.)
Actually his name on his birth certificate and his Army papers is Vincenzo. SS card, banking, insurance, everything else is James.
No one ever called him Vincenzo, he has been Jim or Jimmy to his family since he was born, so I'm not quite sure what was going on there.
HIS father was Thomas (Tom), but his name on HIS birth certificate was Salvatore..no one ever called him that and it was not on any other papers.
MY husband's name is James on his birth certificate and everywhere else and he is called Jim/Jimmy/James, so the cycle is broken,LOL.
Mac. My grandfather's brother gave everyone nickname and my grandmother hated it. She named my father Mac so there would be not nickname. The grandkids call him PawPaw Mac.
