My Dad's name was Anthony Joseph. Everyone called him Tony. He has been gone ten years and I miss him every day. He was my hero.

My daddy is Farrell.

DH's dad is Jacob.

My Dad's name is Edward.

He's sort of got a middle name of Ambrose, but it's not on his birth certificate. The story he told me is that when he enlisted (late 1943 I think), the paperwork required a middle name or at least a middle initial. Enlistees who didn't have a middle name were told to put down the first letter of their last name as their middle initial. The "Ambrose" part came after the war, when he applied for a job and was asked what the "A" stood for. It's one of those stories that OUGHT to be true, whether it is or not.

My one girl friends uncle is K C. First name is K, middle name is C. And the stories he has told about the problems he has gone through over the years. One of the biggest was when he had to register for selective services.

My DH is also James as are my DS and DGS. Can you imagine the confusion when we are all together.

He had no middle name, and he always told us his parents were too poor to give him a middle name.
One time he was required to list a middle name, so he put down "None", so of course he was then listed as Martin None!

Charles, went by Charlie or Butchie, not really sure how he got that nickname. He's dead so I dont think I'll ever find out I never thought to ask him while he was alive. My first son is Aidan Charles. My grandfather's middle name was Anthony so my first son got that as his name.
